robert cromwell, i get what you are saying that you cannot have 100% VG juice that has nicotine or flavor because once you add those things it makes it inherently diluted and NOT 100%. I think what they meant by 100% VG at the store is that there is NO PG (for people that are allergic for example) So a juice that has 97%VG + 2% flavor + 1%nicotine by volume is technically still 100% VG because there is no PG in it. They mean 100% VG in terms of the VG/PG blend NOT in terms of volume....

as far as the 99% vaping rabbit liquid their website says Blueberry Shortbread cookies with a creamy lemon frosting. [30ml Bottle 99% VG Ingredients :VG, natural and artificial flavor extracts,PG.] so that one clear has a lil bit of PG..hence the 99%.

Take 100mL mixture for simplicity: if 5mL are flavor and 5 mL is nicotine that leaves 90mL for a VG/PG mix. If 89.1 mL is VG and 0.9 mL is PG then the liquid is 99% VG (90mL x 99% = 89.1) That explains how a liquid can be 99% VG even tho by volume its only 89.1/100 = 89.1% VG. I hope this helps. Thanks!

The name 70/30 for the PG/VG percentage, or 100% VG / all VG just refer to the base materials. They have nothing to do with with the final mix percentage and do not apply to the finished product.

For example a "100% VG" eliquid might be (for example) 77.6% glycerol of unknown origin (so it might be VG but then again it might not), 10% water (distilled or deionised), 10% flavourings (including the excipients, which in some cases might be PG but are often ethanol), and 2.4% nicotine. So even a VG-only refill could conceivably be less than 70% VG (as some makers put a lot of flavours in) and it might even have some PG in it.

All these names are just a convenience and a guide, they mean nothing in reality. (Unless the vendor gives the final mix percentages of course.)

twgbonehead, could you elborate on the importance on flipping it upside down? My atomizer is an icelar30s with the wick down the middle/center axis of the clearomizer so wouldnt it always be in contact with the juice (i.e. absorb it from all sides thru the middle)?

The important part to get wet is the wick that's inside the coil, and this is very near the top of the clearomizer. By holding it upside down, the coil is pretty much sitting in a bath of e-liquid.

When it's right-side up, the e-liquid needs to get pulled up through the wicks by capillary action before it gets to the coil, and this happens very slowly with thick juices!

i still dont quite udnerstand- the atomizer coil has holes in it all the way down- so wouldnt it be in contact with the wick anyways? see image iclear1519801-6.jpg

some nice ideas here

Some of us have been dealing with high vg juices for a long time and in things like carto and vivi nova tanks, if you can vape it in them there is no reason why you can't in other stuff. It just takes getting to know your equipment vers your juice.

While the head goes all the way down, if I am remembering correctly with those, they are still a top coil, so having it upside down like was suggested puts the wick right at the coil being kept wet. Which is what is needed.

Only a very small part of the wick has the coil wrapped around it, and that's where the liquid needs to get to before it will vape.

In the picture you showed, see that white/translucent plastic cap on the end? The coil is right under that. The long wicks are only there so that liquid can get pulled up to the top.

Think of a lantern, or oil candle. The wick hangs down into the oil, but the flame is at the top, so it won't stay lit if the wick can't pull up the oil fast enough to keep the flame going.

Likewise, with the atomizer, it doesn't help if the bottoms of the wicks are wet, the liquid needs to travel all the way up to the top before it gets to the coil.

the shop you bought from has a description that is confusing. 99% VG Ingredients VG, flavoring, PG. tells me nothing other than maybe they're using 99% pure VG. but so does everyone.

So, first things first. Vape your eliquid. If everything is fine, you have no worries.

If you 'taste' the taste getting dry after only one or two hits, then add 5% distilled water (15ml bottle add 0.75ml distilled water). shake. vape.

Yes I think it means no PG. But technically it cannot be 100% VG or any one thing.
