This method uses an industrial grade microswitch (long life, high current capacity) in place of the normal cheap horn switch you see in home made box mods. While it does take more work to fit this switch it will probably last longer, and perform better.
Bounce back and forth between the text and pictures. It should make sense.

In the 1st pic you see the typical horn switch in various stages of disassembly. This switch is available from many sources for less than a buck.
While it's a great switch for mounting ease, it's an 'OK' switch electrically. You also see a 'microswitch', with and without a roller lever (lever is easy to remove). A much BETTER switch electrically, but not the easiest form factor for e-cig use. I combine the two for a nice reliable switch with more than enough current capability. Notice the modifications to the horn switch on the right. The notches cut into the black body, and the shortened guide rod.

In pic 2 you see the two switches put together. Notch depth is cut to allow the shortened guide post to click the microswitch. Takes a little practice to get this just right.

In the 3rd pic I covered the microswitch button with some dielectric grease (vasoline works) to prevent epoxy from leaking in and freezing the switch action. The switch on the right has a small amount of epoxy holding the 2 parts together. Put epoxy on both sides but ONLY AFTER putting the horn switch body into your mod. Can't fit it in after glued together. It's not really that hard to do. You can even use this method to make a switch for the inside of a tube mod.

Pic #4 shows a couple application examples.
