I had heard from a number of people that 'Noah' was anything but Scriptural, and ya know, they were correct. I couldn't get over how blatantly wrong it was. There were these creatures that looked like rock people with red eyes who had been angels, but they were now 'watchers.' The animals were called 'the innocents,' not the family of Noah. There was one guy that was a stow-away that wasn't in Noah's family, and the bad faux paux was that Noah and family closed the door of the ark.

Genesis 7:1King James Version (KJV)

7 And the Lord said unto Noah, Come thou and all thy house into the ark; for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation.

God invited Noah and his family into the ark. Why did He 'invite them' into the ark? He was there! He was letting Noah know that they were under His protection. And who sealed the ark's door? God did! Scripture doesn't say He unlocked the door.

This is one movie I wouldn't recommend as it's a false story of what really did happen. So,
thumbs down on this one. :nah:

I agree Cuz. Most of the previous Hollywood Movies could draw non-believers in regardless of how 'inaccurate' because of the person and character of Christ. I mean, the religious World went bat crap crazy over "Jesus Christ Superstar" and "The Last Temptation of Christ" because they were so 'heretical' in content.... but as I remember correctly, there were tens of thousands who were drawn to Christ because of his "Humanity" in those Films.

Noah however? Was typically portrayed as most Christian Subjects/and/or/leaders in Movies... Psychotic and deranged.

Big thumbs down on this one for me too. :nah:

    No you can't
I my self I'm not to concerned with movies like Noah though after a few min watching them I just can't continue and off they go, really any movie that portrays a story from the Old Testament it's very easy to find the truth and see the lies in them just by reading the Old Testament which can easily be found on the internet, it's like reading history especially for those who are not of the faith. Though when it comes to my Lord and Savoir it displeases me greatly though again all one has to do is read the New Testament for the true story. It not that hard to find out the truth and for those who hearts desire to worship God they will come to know it and ask God to forgive them.

If only one out of millions & million who see the movie and question the truth or just are moved to search it out for any reason turn to God IMO: then it served it's purpose and was used by God to bring someone to Him, if only one is saved then my heart bubbles with joy because I know what is meant for evil, God is able to turn into good...

Lol!! I've noticed that also. They portray Christians as psychos and idiots, and 2nd Amendment supporters as lunatics and terrorists!

I stand on the first two amendments, as should everyone else. Let me quote from my pocket Constitution! ;)

    Amendment 1

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

    Amendment II

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

If you are a 2nd Amendment person, and if possible, join the NRA. I quoted the above Amendments as it is written including capitalization. I did not add to or leave out anything. Mississippi has the best 2nd Amendment laws on the books. If interested, look them up. All states have different laws. If you are travelling through different states, check the 2nd Amendment laws. You know, what is it about SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED does the government not comprehend? And, as far as being portrayed as lunatics, I think they could be afraid of us. Well maybe not us, persay, but I think they are leery of how Powerful our God is. The Pharisees knew Who Jesus was and they perceived how dangerous He could be to their phony bologney jobs and power. So, they attack. Who do we know like that?????? :sneaky:

That's right! - satan believes, and trembles! Texas' laws are pretty good. Anyone can carry a concealed weapon in their car while traveling as long as they are not committing a crime above a Class C misdemeanor, and if they are not affiliated with any street gang. Also, many people believe that you can't carry a handgun openly in Texas, that's not true. You can carry openly in Texas if you are on private property if you own the property, or if you have permission from the owner of the property or the person in charge of the property.:2cool:

In Mississippi, we have open carry. We also have Castle Doctrine, which means that if someone is in your yard and you feel threatened, you can shoot without repercussion. Your car is an extension of your home and covered under Castle Doctrine. To have a CC, you have to apply, get fingerprinted, investigated by the feds, and you get your license 4 months later.

Some months back, we had a neighbor who is a few fries short of a Happy Meal. He loves to walk his dogs (2) late at night so they can do their business in someone else's yard. My husband was taking our 4-legged children out around 12:30 a.m., and there was this guy with his two dogs. I mean right up in our yard five steps away from our backdoor, and our dachshund scared this guy, and he yelled out, "Don't shoot, don't shoot," and identified himself. Husband told him he almost shot him. The guy still walks up and down the street late at night, and husband calls out, "Come on Dargo," and the guy and his dogs do an about face.

A super bright flashlight can be very disarming. A stun gun with the 2 probes will do the trick as well but you have to be close. I will say that when this one kid went into his Pearl, MS high school with a gun and started shooting kids, the assistant principal went out to his truck and got his gun. He went back inside and told the kid that he didn't want to shoot him but would if he didn't stop. The kid stopped. I pray I never have to shoot anyone, but I will protect my family.:2c:
