A couple iClear 30s questions

Picked up one the other day at my local B&M, but haven't got it running yet. Do these need extended soak time?
Has anyone tried disassembling the coil assy. for cleaning and dry burning the coil?

Thanks Bad, but the 30s is different than the one in the video. The wicks on the 30s are inside a metal tube that has holes in it. The iClear 30, in the video, is built like an iClear 16.

I found they do need extended soak time. When I tried the Iclear30s that came with my VTR I hated it....good vapor production but the taste was very muted...left it sitting over night and awoke to a 1/2 empty tank. I thought it had leaked but no leakage was found...it had absorbed 1/2 the tank and hit like a dream. The coils can not be taken apart for cleaning. You can clean them by removing small silicon cap and repeatedly soaking rinsing in very hot water then doing a vodka soak. I have heard after drying out you can also dry burn before placing little cap back on but I have not tried it yet.
They are juice hogs....I use mine for a strong DIY peppermint that is not too sweet and ran it for 3 weeks and 37 tanks before I decided to clean it just because....a dry burn did not appear to be needed. I could never afford to use this tank with my AiV juices and I have no idea how you could swap flavors...even after 3 near boiling water soaks/rinses and an overnight vodka soak the cartridge still smelled of peppermint .

Thanks Kj. I have had it soaking for several hours now, and the juice level has gone down very little. I will let it sit for several more hours before trying it.

I have been running mine for a week to the day with a very strong hot cin and have noticed that the flavor has settled down a bit since I first filled it. I am going to put in a replacement tonight. I imagine with lighter flavors it lasting a lot longer. I love the 30s more than the protank but the replacements are a bit steep...

Put mine into use yesterday. I noticed right away a lack of flavor over the carto and tank I was using. Other than that, it works good. Not to fond of the knuckle tip tho.

I got mine yesterday. had like $44 store credit from refferals. i dont get a good vapor production. but i get a really good flavor out of it. i think itll handle thick better than the pro tank :O

I'm getting good vapor production, with a 70/30 mix, and 4.2v on my Provari. I am going to re-do my diy juice and add more flavoring to compensate for the lack of flavor.

I just got my VTR today. I haven't tried the 30 s yet! Thanks for the tips on letting it soak in over night! I'm using my PT2 on it now,and it is putting out good vapor. I hope the 30 s will be a little better. I vape DIY juice mixed at 50 50,so it may take a little longer for it to really "soak" in to the wicks?

I'm curious about something with regard to the 30s...

I have a liquid (50/50) that gunks up my Protank coil heads after about 6-10 mls. Would the dual coil and better wicking of the 30s provide for longer use before gunk-up?

I have ran 43 full tanks of 50/50 DIY on the same coil in the Iclear30s with no reduction of vape taste or production...I rinsed and did a vodka soak just because I felt it was time to do some maintenance so I would have to say yes the wicking and dual coils do help a bunch. These Iclear30s also handle high watts very well

Have only run 3 tanks thru it so far since the 19th of this month, not much I know, but still happy with it.
