I have 2 batteries that are brand new that I bought for my EVIC a couple months ago thinking that I was going to be using it for awhile but at the moment it is just sittting aside looking all sad and pathetic. My ProVari is the new lady in my life and I was assuming that the EVIC 18650 batteries would work in my ProVari with the extension cap. Under further inspection it appears these batteries dont have the nipple at the top or if they do its very small. So does anyone know if these batteries will work? They actually came in individual EVIC boxes if that helps you all with identifying what ones they are. Also checking the battery check options im not sure how to read how much battery life is in volts. So what is the high side meaning like 100% battery power in volts and whats the low side when its time to recharge. And also I have read a little bit about people saying DO NOT use the battery under a certain amount of volts or it will ruin the battery forever. Im curious because when I look at the battery check mode i just see like maybe 3.5 on the screen but have no clue what that even indicates. Sorry for the noob question, I checked the search on here but couldnt find anything, maybe using the wrong keywords? Thanks guys!

From what I can tell, it look like an eVic takes a flat top. That won't work with the ProVari.

When you check the battery level, fresh off the charger it's 4.2v (although sometimes it reads a bit lower when you have a topper on it). It will go down to ≈ 3.4v before it blinks to be charged.

This is what you want (there's also a 1600mAh for a couple of bucks less):

I get mine at RTD Vapor.

Is it true that if you keep using the battery after a certain amount of time after the blinking it will ruin the battery? Im not planning on doing it but you never know, I could be out somewhere and still wanting to hit it while the battery light is blinking. But if it ruins it in the long run definately not worth it to keep using it during the blinks.

It's not a good plan to run a battery down, but the ProVari will stop firing when it gets below a certain point.

The battery that comes with the Evic is the Samsung 2600mah ICR 18650 battery. This is not a high drain battery. - Joyetech eVic 18650 Battery 2600mAh - AltSmoke This is not the correct battery chemistry for use in a Provari.

The Provari requires button-top high drain IMR batteries. Technical - Why High Drain Batteries? AW strongly recommends using only AW IMR batteries.

Don't know your Amazon source, but the recommended AW IMR high drain batteries run more than that.
And being a well-known battery - guess what? There are crappy clones. So you don't want to buy from a source that doesn't have a solid verifiable reputation. Like RTDVapor, or ProVape. Or Nitemods (he has a thread here as well).
It's still just $10, for a battery that's safe, and will last a long time...

Note - in case it wasn't clear above - the ProVari will STOP before draining your battery to any dangerous level....

Im going to definately stick with the high drain. $5.50 a piece on amazon. Im not sure if that is against the rules on this board to say that....hope not.

It's not. Efests work okay, but AW is what ProVape recommends. Just remember to get unprotected button-top. Also stay away from anything (batteries and chargers) with Fire in the name.

Man Ocelot you are VERY knowledgable about this stuff, its awesome! The batteries I was talking about were efest. I dont think ill make a habit of using them probably will just stick to the AWs but may buy some efest just to have as backups

I'm not the Princess for nothing. ;)

I have an Efest that came with a mod I bought off the classies. I have it in rotation with the AWs. I haven't noticed any difference, but I don't really pay as much attention to how long batteries last as others do. Personally, I just pay the extra bucks for AWs. I also look for sales from reputable vendors. I can never have too many batteries.
