Well, I'm not going to give up on it just yet! I wish this really was as easy as it was to start smoking some 15 years ago! And I'm only 30  I have a 2 yo lil princess, and I want to quit these nasty things asap. I should have quit when I got pregnant, but I just couldn't. I did cut back... WAY back... but we are trying to have another and I don't want to go through it all again with a pack of smokes in my "to go" bag....

I also noticed, just for the heck of it, when I pull off the mouthpiece after taking a drag, there is a lot of vapor in the mouthpiece. So I tried changing them from whistle tip to round, and tried different ones of each style... Same thing... I thought that was weired and wondered if you guys have done that and seen the same thing... Any thoughts?

So if you're getting "a lot of vapor" now why not take down the video? The other stuff such as "claws in your chest" and not tasting the flavor are subjective but what the video shows isn't exactly true.

Sure, e-cigs are different then cigarettes. I'm not sure if your addiction you have claws in your chest or not with the e-cigs. I used to smoke upwards of two packs a day as many others did. So I'm just letting you know you can quit with a little effort. Maybe if you didn't focus on the claws in your chest. I as other people can taste the flavor very well. If you quit smoking it would help, or get some premade liquid then you could give a better review. I find it hard to believe you couldn't taste premade menthol.

My quest for a decent review from Rickghouse continues.

Here's my review of the Joye 510!

YouTube - My 510 Review.MP4

LOL!!!!! Like so many have said before me, bad atty, bad batts or both. The pic of a cloud of vapor in my profile is from a 510, and I do better than that now with a nico-stick and better juice. If you are new and watching this vid for guidance on whether or not to get a 510, don't be fooled. This is one user against many hundreds of positive experiences.

Let's get real here.

How many happy 510 users can truthfully say that their 510 gives the same satisfaction as an analog?

How about even close to an analog?

Or, even remotely close?

I'm betting ... none.

Sure, there are 510 users who have been able to get by. Coping is not what I'm talking about.

So, will I get honesty, or will I get "my 510 is just great"?

Rick.

Well, Rick, how about this for honesty? Is my 510 "just great"? No, it's way better than that! Every puff I take off of it is pure joye. Not only does it give me more satisfaction than an analog, I love every single puff. Which is way more than I could ever say about analogs.
I used to smoke 30-40 cigs a day, and from all those cigs I'd say that I really only enjoyed maybe about 4 or 5 of them. The rest I just smoked because of my addiction. They gave me no joy or satisfaction

You need to change your way of thinking... if you are looking for an e-cig to perfectly replicate the experience of an analog, you will never find it and will always be unsatisfied. You will always have that clawing in your chest (I understand that sensation).

Let's get real here.

I never really got satisfaction with a cig. I would just want another one 10 mins later. I quit for 3 years once by reminding myself of that.

With a 510 I can get myself a buzz. Even after 6 months of use. Heck, I can't even sleep at night if I vape too much

My quest for satisfaction continues.

Rick, its unfortunate that you haven't been able to get any satisfaction from ecigs. I can honestly say that I thoroughly enjoy my 510 (3.7V and 5V mods) and even though I know I should quit even the ecig, I don't want to because I enjoy vaping so much. Analog cigs are disgusting to me now, and I get more than enough nicotine even vaping 6mg juice since I stepped myself down. Soon I will be on zero nic juice and then there will not be much point in vaping. Until then, I love every minute of it!

I truly hope you find something to satisfy, but like another poster said, you will not find one that give you the same experience (horrible smell, bad taste, smelly clothes) as an analog. Good luck to you in your search.

rick, count my household with 2 satisfied 510 vapers, it took the 510 to keep my wife completely from analogs. i dropped them sooner, with a janty kissbox alone. but the 510 is still my mainvape. sure, nowadays on the eGo and sometimes on a 3.7V mod like GGTS, but thats not the point.

if you ask if a single starterset of a 510 can satisfy a heavy vaper for months, i say no. this will not work. but it will not work with any e-cig on the market. you need backup and rotation of parts.

currently i suggest newbies who want to drop cigarettes to buy 2 eGo sets to start and stocking up on 510 or mega510 atomizers.

I've smoked for almost ten years. Took me 2 months to SLOOOWWWLY get rid of analogs and I gotta say in the beginning after a vape i wanted a smoke, but near the end after a smoke I CRAVED a vape.. So far I have turned 2 other people onto 510s and one quit analogs the first day and the other is down to 1 or 2..

Like some people are saying maybe try something else. I heard good stuff about SNUS for the switch

Rick you're 100% right. The 510 doesn't give me the same satisfaction as an analog and it's not even CLOSE. My 510 gives me 100 times more satisfaction than an analog. Near the end of my smoking days (a pack a day for 15 years) I found myself chain smoking more and more. With the 510 I'm chain vaping, but its only because I enjoy it so much.

I never ever had a craving for an analog since I started over 3 months ago. That's phenominal since I was probably the biggest analog fiend I knew. I can't even tell you the things I've done to get cigarrettes. I mean like the days I had to collect loose change from under couches and car seats. Not to mention the embarrasment of paying the store clerks $7 in dimes, nickels, and pennies. Or skipping meals just so I could have enough money to buy a pack of cigarettes.

Vaping is more enjoyable and more satisfying because after every analog I would have a terrible cough and really bad tightness in the chest.

On the other hand, I do know how you feel when there's an issue and no one on the board takes you seriously. I have been complaining about melting plastic carts and how the carts should be made of metal but no one seemed to care.

I don't care much for the flavors and don't get into that sort of thing. All I care about is inhaling enough nicotine to give me my fix. In fact, the less I taste the better. AHHH...pure tasteless vapor! To me there is nothing better. The 510 satisfies my needs much better than necessary. If you're after flavor you might want to try the 901. I have one, but rarely use it.

Oh yeah and by the way, I vape a 510 with the stock 3.7 standard battery and I love it. I should probably mention that my biggest complaint is the stock polyfill. It eventually gets to a point where it barely holds a single drop of juice, meanwhile there are like 10 drops on the bottom that never make their way towards the atty. When I switched to the fish foam I never had any other issues.

Yup, add me to the list of like half a million other people that find 510's far more satisfying than analogs.

The review just screams equipment failure.
Someone send Rick a working 510 in your possession.
I love to, but shipping charges from my side of the world is ridiculously expensive.

I have some new 510's now (as well as 801's and 901's). I'm getting more vapor from them. Big deal. I could suck on a vaporizer loaded with Vicks Medicated Vapo-Rub and get about the same relief.

I know I'm a difficult case, but I also know I'm not alone. The claws in my chest only ease up slightly with a 510, 801 or 901. Slight relief is better than no relief, so I am thankful. I found that I can increase my relief using a combination of vape, snus and snuff (sometimes I get complete relief from the claws). Personally, I'm not in favor of intentionally introducing toxins and heavy metals into my system (snus & snuff) even in low dosages.

I'm not against snus and snuff. Harm reduction is key. But it's not my goal.

I want to be free.

Rick.
