I have been through the "everything tastes like dust" phase that a lot of people complain about. Thankfully that has not happened in a while.

The last couple of days I have discovered a new problem, everything tastes too strong and sort of burnt.

My system has gotten pretty fine turned (finally!) with dripping and keeping attys clean. I use an eGo with 510 attys, mostly Wyatt Earp from FSUSA and occasionally Seven Leaves. Usually the Wyatt Earp is declicous, except for recently where every hit seemed like the atty was way too hot, now that I think about it I am reminded of how it tastes with an LR atty (which I did not like at all)

At first I just wrote it off to a dirty atty so tried a different one. First couple hits were good then suddenly that same burnt, over charged sort of taste. Tried a different atty and same thing; then I started to suspect the juice itself, maybe I got a bad batch?

Tried some SEven Leaves and at first thought AHA! Must be the juice. But after a few hits...same thing.

About the only thing I have not done is try a brand new, never been used ATTY. But something tells me that wont matter...

Anyone else been through this? I suspect it's a variation on the "dusty" taste that most new vapers get in the first few weeks and occassionally there after being in need of a pallet cleaning.

This one has me scratching my head...and a little jittery since I am having a hard time getting my fix.

I actually had this EXACT same problem a couple weeks ago. I would use an atty and after a few hits it would start tasting kinda burnt but more of a taste of almost "electrica wire" burnt taste. People told me it was the wick but I watched a video that had to do with "removing primer" but it worked GREAT!! It got rid of that weird burnt taste and I have not had any problems since. After I did the dry burn steps I used a few drops of regular water and got it really hot, I flooded the atty and kept the button pushed until the water started boiling. Give it a try and let me know if it works for you. here is the link to the video.

take a cough drop.. drown your taste buds with it.. then take a nice vape.. see if that helps.

that's what i do..

if that doesnt work then it could be ur cart.

IMO

Cough drops sounds like a good idea. I don't use carts since I drip, and have tried several attys. Am currently on a brand new, never before used atty and have the same nasty taste.

Are you talking about the primer taste that comes with new attys? Yea, this is nothing like that. In fact the oily taste from a new atty is pleasant compared to this.

I soak my attys after several regular cleanings in denatured alchohol for an hour swishing from time to time, then dropping them into some boiling water for 30 seconds or so, then back into fresh alcohol for 15 minutes and that usually makes them like new.

Me too. Been on a routine for many months rotating attys. This is the first time I have experienced this and am getting worried.
