WHY 6 Volts??? Makes my juice taste burnt

I keep reading and reading about using 6 volts in a mod. I finally just had to try it. I loaded up two 3 volt batteries into my Zi-Moshi. First thing it did was FRIED the atty I had been using for a month! Back to day one on that experiment!

I got out a new atty primed it up, loaded the cartridge and tried it again. I will say the amount of vapor was unbelievable!! I can also say it tasted BURNT. Every drag from the thing was tasting that way.

I switched the batteries back to one 3.7 volt and the taste went right back to normal after a few puffs.

Is 6 volts suppose to make the juice taste burnt???

That that is why Steve of Puresmoker changed the Prodigy to 5volts. He had had issues with atty durability as well as it being a juice hog. I believe to avoid the burnt taste you would have to drip every puff. He has stated in his estimation that 5volts "is the sweet spot" for vapor,throat hit and taste.

I was wondering how the juice holds up on anything over 3.7. I just opened a thread asking about vaping over 3.7, and frying the juice was one of my concerns.

I have 2 ecigs that are 6v and used them for a while. No burnt atomizers and great taste. Love my 6v units very much.
You have to give them alot of juice. They are a juice hog,but love the throat hit and vapor from them. I drip and use carts. Always keep the cart moist and the atomizer moist. Batteries must have a full charge.
If you do not do theses things, there is a burnt taste. Also there is a burnt taste if you draw to long or hard. There is a learning curve with theses units.

I found the trick to avoid the burnt taste is to use 2 second pulses on the button.
