Okay guys, here's something that's driving me crazy. A little while ago, I filled up a new 510 cart with about 15 drops of dark-colored juice. About 10 minutes after I started vaping on it, I took a peek at it and the cart looks white already... as if there's no juice in there. What the hell???

I feel like I'm topping off my carts way too often, wasting my precious juice. Any advice?

Thanks!

Justine  )

I'm not a huge fan of syringesfor regular polyfil cartos. a 1ml carto holds about 22-25 drops. My philosophy is to drip 5 in the 4 compass directions, then blow it out. If it doesn't gurgle after the first 20 drops, let it sit for a little bit, then top it off 1 drop at a time and blow/pull til it gives a little bit of a flooded gurgle. Then blow it out til the gurgle stops and you're good to go.

Most people here put drip tips on their cartos so that they can top it off regularly. Seems to be something like 5 drops an hour which is reasonable. I use ce2 carto's so I fill them with a syringe and vape on them until they're dry, then I fill them again.

I find that with the lower ohm cartos, they go thru juice faster and I need to top them off more. Initially about 25 drops though. I don't use a syringe, but I do use a paperclip end to poke between the edge of the carto & the filling. It kind of makes a channel for the juice to flow into and fill up a little quicker.
I've also noticed, like the OP that sometimes my carto's filling looks white after filling it with a darker juice. I just figure it was some sort of magic at work that dissapated the coloring..

I like to use a 2ml to 3ml syringe with a big blunt tip needle, for me it just makes it go faster and be much less messy.

I pop the mouth piece out...punch into the polyfill...let out about .5ml, then punch into the opposite side and push in more till the whole thing is a bit slushy looking. This way I can do several cartos in no time flat.

This part is optional.
After that, bundle them up, put a rubber band around the bundle, put them down in a cheap plastic cup with the battery ends down. I've tied a string to this cup, so it's kind of like a pail handle....I swing the whole thing around for a few seconds so the centrifugal force pushes the juice down to the atomizer coils.

I'll look down in each carto....still bundled...at this point, and drip in more to any carts that aren't still slushy.

Finally, I give each one a good blow and wipe as I put the caps and condoms back on them.

Some people keep juice and top their cartos....I just change out cartos and refill later myself. Keeping them topped and wet at all times probably leads to longer lasting cartos...

Excellent :) I saw some guy do it in youtube with a single carto on a lanyard ages ago. No idea who it was. These days there are probalby hundreds of people on Youtube showing how to do the "Taryn Spin" :).

Hey, I could see it being a fad at the raves....use glow in the dark stuff..........woohoo

I thought using the "blowing out" technique was only done when juice overflows to the center tube? If you fill, then blow, over and over again, aren't you just forcing out a good portion of your juice?

Just blowing gently will only blow out the excess juice. The juice that is already absorbed by the polyfill will stay there. It is good to let them sit for a while so the poly fill has time to absorb the juice, though.

I don't spin. With a 1ml carto I put in 18 drops to start and then more if it wants it. A ml is 18-26 drops, more if a bottle has very tiny drops. Then I clean it up - the threads, and puff into the threaded end to clear the central air channel (because I buy Boges which have a central channel). Then on a fresh fill of a blank I lay it on different sides for a bit (15-20 minutes with thin juice like 70pg/30vg).

If the beginning, a new carto's stuffing an return to white pretty quickly. That doesn't mean you need to add more juice. As long as it's giving nice full moist vapor then no juice is needed. When the vapor starts to get light or a bit dry I add liquid.

I've been dripping for the last four and a half months and won't ever go back to using cartos. Dripping is so much easier, cheaper, and tastes much better. But when I used cartos, I dripped about 26 to 28 drops into new cartos and then about 14 to 16 when refilling them. When the filler is white, there might still be juice at the bottom of the filler, but it sounds like you should drip in about 12 or 13 more drops when filling new cartomizers.
