Here are a few of the mods I've been working on, one is a 3/6 volt switch box another is a dual 3.7 v and the last is a quick change adapter box so I can go from 801 to 901 or 510. Let me know what you think, am working on a few others but waiting for parts.

Your pics are not very clear, and i mean the shots are not really showing what is going on in there (maybe that is what you want lol)

With all of the extra wire I could not get a very clean close picture.
The yards of wire (soon to be cleaned up ) where just because I made one before and had to make changes and got tired of having to make new connections all the time. So now that its right I can just cut off the excess.
Its a quick change because I can remove the battery connection from inside be just breaking the connections and putting in a different one. I know the pic does not show it very clear but I have quick disconnect plugs on the wires.
The main bg box has 2 switches on the bottom. The first makes the 3v to atty connection or passes the voltage to the next battery. Then the 2nd switch makes the 6v to atty connection or power off (out put goes no where ) so I wont have the atty fire when I dont want it to.
I will take closer pic's when I clean them up. I will also put in a few of my MAG mod. And I feel that after reading alot more in here I have to make a run to radshack and pick up some RCA stuff ( i do wish I read them before making them all ... dam it will be nice to have quick atty connectors )
I have to say thanks to everyone that post in the mod section ... you all do great work and really make me want to do more and do alot better.
That one was a project enclosure from ratshack pn 270-1802 its a 4x2x1 box. I have another and a a 3x2x1 i was looking at messing around with. I like them but know that I will have to make them again in smaller neater boxes, but these are really good for me being able to have room to work in. I also have a flash light mod I made gonna post pictures soon. I have 3 flashlight mods. 2 I bought and the one I made. I like mine best but I think it just rocks cause I made it ....
Here is my flashlight MOD. I loved seeing all the flashlight MOD's and even bought a few. My wife kept telling me I should try and make one, we went out and bought a few that we thought would work this one was the best for me. It runs on a cr123a ( that was factory ) I have though of Modding it again to take other batteries but for now I think I need to work on my box mods more. This just turned out so good the first time out that I think I will just screw it up if I keep modding it. Here are the pic's. The first it totally assembled, 2nd is taken down, 3rd is a nice pic of the connection. Then a pic of the switch. Last is of the on/off switch. I just love this flashlight mod and my wife has said that it kind of looks like a lightsaber handle.

Good job hawktheslayer, Im glad to see your gettin er done!!! You wont ever be able to settle on a certain one so keep on buildin. Like I tell my fiance, I could be doin alot worse things, like I used to do way back when...
Last nite I was up again and was looking at the posts and made sure not to have any extra wires in this one. I was thinking of adding an on off switch but dont think I will. This one is real clean for me and works great. I tried it with both 3.7v and 6v and the 6v does make putting the cover on hard but I will get out a tube the same size of the 3v bat and heat it up to melt the plastic a little for better form fitting.
I use a small Dremmel tool attachment, and just take a little bit of the box out of the top and bottom for the batts to fit nicely.
Also some people have glued the atty connection down inside the box more so the atomizer just barely sticks out, making the assembled mod very discreet.

what did you use to connect the atty in the end of the flashlight?

I used the atc cone part of the flashlight. I took out the lamp and looked at the size of it. The 901 connector fit like a glove. I just glued it on the back with some hot glue, I just need to make sure that I never over tighten the atty. I did not want it to be like all of the rest of the flashlight's that have a flat top for the connection. I also just made a hole in the plastic clear top for the atty to pass through.
Or you can get a 9v battery box
and they will fit perfectly.Same size, just a little wider.
