I'm looking at getting an Astro clone. I like look and the small size of it. I want to get it from fasttech. How long does delivery take to get to the states?

I want a Kayfun clone also but not sure of fasttech quality on those. I know people recommend the EHPro clone.

Any other attys that would look sweet on the Astro? I want to get the stainless one with copper accents.

I know I would need 18350s to keep the mod at the smallest size. How long would the battery last with say a 0.5 ohm coil chain vaping? Just wondering how many I need to buy to last the day.

Any other small tube mods clones that anyone recommend are good?

Thanks all

Well man, FastTech is slow, but cheaper. If you want it now (3-5 days depending on weekend) I recommend a US vendor like Eciggity or 101Vape.

The Kayfun issue is about the quality and well, time it would take to get here. I like my Ehpro Kayfun lite+, but have nothing to compare it to. Bought it for 60 at a local shop. Again, had it when i bought it, unlike the month and a half+ i waited for FastTech to ship my Nemesis clone.

I don't recommend using 18350 batteries @ any resistance <1.0ohms. Those batteies are not made for sub-ohm builds and it isn't safe IMO. Stick with 18650's 300 amp high drain like Sony VTC4 or Efest 30 amp 2100mAh(Purple one).

Hope I helped.

I'll give some feedback on a few of your questions, some of them really are personal preference and you'll get nothing but opinions on them. I suggest buying what YOU think looks good and just make sure it is good quality and works well based on reviews.

The Astro is a solid, small, telescoping mech and a good choice. I got one for a friend on Fasttech and it works great. Expect 2-3, maybe 4 weeks for delivery.

I want a Kayfun clone also but not sure of fasttech quality on those. I know people recommend the EHPro clone.

I'd pick up a high quality Kayfun clone from a US vendor. The EHPro's seem the best, and their KFL+ comes with a full size M-tank. LiteCigUSA has them for $35 and you can find them cheaper on eBay, but you can't expect any support from an eBay seller that isn't also a vape shop.

The best that FT has are the Tobeco models which get very mixed reviews. Their "black edition" is supposed to be one of the best, but they are more expensive.

You really should get a good 10 amp battery (at the very least) to handle vaping at 0.5 ohms. Most of these are 18650's, and I believe AW's 18490 is also rated high enough. Personally, I'd steer clear of the new purple Efests because they are cleverly advertizing their pulse limit as "safe". Go by continuous discharge only, since continuous discharge events can happen by accident and catastrophically destroy the cell just as easily.

Kayfuns work best around 1.2 ohms in general anyway, and a good 18350 such as AW will work fine for that. I'd carry at least 4 if you plan on chain vaping all day. The 4 bay Nitecore charger is high quality and fairly inexpensive.

Both of you thank you. Big help. I'm too impatient to wait up to a month for fasttech. Your probably right too that I spend a bit more for the EHPro Kayfun. Better in the long run.

Battery ?'s so I don't blow up my face. I guess I assed that the 18350 will just last not as long as the 18650. So the mah is not the only difference? I know most say get at least a 30 or 35 amp battery for sub ohm. 18350 don't come in 30 amp?

Thanks

I love my 2014 Tobeco, so much that I bought a second. They run around $40 on ebay. For batteries I would highly recommend staying with 18650 if you deal with the size. Overall it's about the same as your typical ego's, just wider. I started with 18350's and the battery life just couldn't do it for me. I would go with the US18650VTC4 or 5's.

It's not just about capacity but also how long they stay at the needed voltage. I have found the C4's are a great value for the money. I've tried the comparable AW's and prefer the Sony's, for me they have a lot better usable battery life. Either will certainly do the trick. Unless you are going to be doing serious sub ohming you don't have to stress to much. Which you shouldn't, the Kayfun isn't a subohmer like a dripper, but that can certainly vary with personal taste. I actually prefer 1.6 to 1.0.

mAh rating = amount of time vaping. 2100 mAh will last longer @1.0ohms than 1600 mAh, ya dig?

I sometimes push my kayfun down to .44ohms (I've gone to .32ohms, but whoo das hawt) you really can and will melt the insulator on the positive post though when going into sub ohms. But it is a preference thing and I like my cinnamon maple to come out scorching:) 28guage shouldn't do this but 24 will, not sure about 26, never used it.

Hope I helped. Again:)

Nope, nearly all batteries rated for 10+ amps are 18650 or larger. The astro in 18650 mode is still only about as tall as a standard ego. I recommend using these bigger batteries because literally their only disadvantage is size (and initial cost, but that is very insignificant in the grand scheme).

More mods are coming out with magnetic negative battery contacts.. which cut the mod size down a good bit. I use my 4nine in 18650, but it's the same size as my mods in 18500..just a hair shorter actually.

I've heard about magnets failing/dying under dead shorts. I dead shorted a vtc5 with it, but no change.. Atomizer pins need to be longer than threads when using the 4nine.
