Without making this sound like an Oscar acceptance speech, I just wanted to take a few minutes to give a sincere thank you to the entire vaping community in general. I don't have a lot of time under my belt yet, as today marks just one week for me smoke-free. I know that's not a ton of time, but being at the one week mark today, and after smoking for 10 years, I just wanted to take some time and reflect on this.
I am certain that, after a lot skepticism on my part, vaping has led me on an analog-free path to bettering the quality of my life. The first device I ever used was a cheaply made cartridge based e-cig, one you'll find at a convenience store or gas station, which was completely useless and initially gave me the impression that e-cigs/PVs all together were useless. And to my dismay, after buying my first starter unit, a Kanger Evod adjustable VV, I unknowingly selected the wrong nicotine strength for my juices. So, on three separate occasions, I would stop smoking and start vaping, but at almost exactly the 48 hour mark after quitting, I would get an intense craving for an analog that would lead me to relapse. I didn't realize at the time it was because I had the wrong nicotine strength. Once I learned and corrected my juice issue, there was no looking back for me.
So for anyone who takes the time to record reviews for YouTube. For anyone who takes the time on forums, like this one, to answer questions from semi-clueless newbies (myself being one). For anyone who takes the time to educate smokers and nonsmokers who see you using your PV and proceed to ask a string of questions that you patiently answer for them. I personally appreciate your effort.
I also appreciate that the vaping community is just that, a community. Unlike with smoking, which made me feel looked down upon, something you had to do in secrecy, pretty much to the point of feeling shameful, the comradery I've noticed in the vaping community is truly unbelievable. The mutual support I see from everyone to stay away from cigarettes is overwhelmingly encouraging to me. So as a novice, I look forward to educating myself more (I know that even though I have the basics down, I still have a lot to learn) and further experiencing and embracing the vaping culture. I just wanted to take the time to acknowledge those who have helped me and those who have helped others along the way.
