I'm going to exclusively use 100% VG, probably Velvet Cloud if it's not too expensive (could also use some advice on this as well). I'm thinking less than $100 for a fully working e-cig. I'd like something that uses a tank as well, I really like being able to fill it and forget it. 10 hour battery life minimum. And maybe something popular enough to find specialty accessories.

Velvet Cloud says this about what to use "a top coil oriented tank with long wicks and a wide tank"
Is that good advice? Anyone know something that fits that description?

PS I wanted to post this in the ask a veteran section, but still can't post there for some reason. If a mod would move it there later I would really appreciate it.

This seems to fit your criteria. Innokin iTaste MVP V2.0 - 101 Vape The only problem I see is it doesn't have a 10 hour minimum battery life. It's more like 2-3 days. You're gonna love it! Comes with a iclear 30 which is a top dual coil with long wicks.

2nd the mvp. I love them, I have a few myself and they're generally my go-to mod, even over my higher end ones.

Thank you Red, the MVP v2.0 does seem pretty nice, and $40 is a great price!

Hello don't worry about moving this, alot of the same Vets on here watch this forum so they can help. :)

I just got my niece a MVP v2 today, this will be her 1st mod. Another nice thing is that it has 510 thread and eGo thread. And you can pick up iClear 30 (510 thread) and iClear 16 (eGo thread) tanks for pretty cheap. So you can put different flovors in different tanks. In case you find more then one flavor you want to vape. I find I have to vape a full tank to see if I really like a juice.

But for the price and what you get, it's really hard to beat the MVP.
If you go to my post,

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/general-e-smoking-discussion/502517-got-vape-mail.html

you can see how big it is. Some people say they thought it looked big and bulky in pics on websites.
Hope this helps :)

Sorry ironmonkey I should have taken the time to write you something out instead of directing you to a previous post.

My appologies.
Ive just banged on about the MPV 2 at this super low price that ive started to think I sound like a broken record. But at least im not the only one to think this cant be passed up at that price.

Maybe I can redeem myself from earlier I've just come across this itaste MVP 2.0 | Tuff PuffsTuff Puffs $35 and the vtr is only $60

Edit im not sure if come with the tank and charger, maybe it doesn't.

I'm not sure if the VTR comes with an adaptor for different tanks but, I believe you're restricted to a certain tank diameter size because of the top ring by your fingers. I believe...

Add: Just read the description -

Innokin Itaste VTR v2
Another very popular Innokin product! The Innokin Itaste VTR is a VV/VW mod. It comes in a metal case with an iClear30s and an extension so that you can use other atomizers with the unit. This item does NOT come with a battery or charger.

The VTR also produces an inferior vape compared to the MVP, because of it's 33.3hz chip. It's only redeeming feature is the fact that it does have a user replacable battery.

I would have to second the opinions of the people who have recommended an MVP 2.0. It's impossible to get the same feature set in a cheaper package.

Comes with an iClear 30S last time I saw. Have you seen the ones where people have sawed off the ring so just about anything can fit? I definitely wouldn't recommend it, but it's interesting. Basically there's nothing holding onto it. If a door handle smacked into the tank it could easily bend the tank and snap the connection, possibly destroying both pieces.

......It's cool though. :)

Thanks to everyone for your input. I'm going with the MVP v2.0. That VTR sure is sexy though, I was really close to going with it, assuming it was a new sexier model. But the vape comes first, sexy is just an added bonus.

Kinda curious as to how the VTR doesn't come with a battery, I thought it WAS a battery.

I think the VTR uses batteries that you can replace--like an 18350 battery, vs being a battery (as in it is more a battery holder). The good thing about that is that you don't have to toss it and buy new when it wears out like the MVP. Don't know how long an MVP is supposed to last, but probably a year or so.

I myself own an itaste vv version 3.0, and an MVP 2. I recently purchased a Aspire Nautilus Protank, and could not be more happy with my setup. I have a friend who rebuilds my coils for me, which by the way, cotton tastes so much better :)

Anyway, the nautilus stock coils work really well. Alot better then the stock coils for alot of other tanks. When I have my nautilus tank on my vv version 3.0, it reminds me of a harry potter wand or something, but oh well. The vapor and taste production is amazing, and im glad I went this route for starting out.

You've Made the right choice going for the MPV 2 as a 1st mod IMO. The comment I made about not being sure if it came with battery and charger was about the MPV2 I had found for $35, as I couldn't not see in the add a list off what u get for your $35. The MPV2 is a built in battery but you want to make sure it comes with the charging cable ect.
The VTR does not come with battery or charger and takes an 18650 size battery that you have to get separately. I posted a pic of my VTR to show what to looked like in comparison. There is a size limit to the tank you can fit inside the VTR 19mm diameter so 22mm tanks can only be used with an adapter that comes with it, and it losses its compact look if you have to use this adapter.
The VTR easily gives as good a vape as the MPV2. It can operate up to 15watts as opposed to 11watts for the mpv2 and has the full 6volt range, MPV2 is a 5 volt range.
Overall The MVP2 is a better 1st mod for someone because having the built in battery is hassle free, and after you weigh up the added cost of batteries and charger for the VTR, the MPV2 works out half the price.
