very true ...well almost ...it is a downgrade to be truthfull once the batt levels off you get a constant 3.2 to 3.5 volts..except riva, i believe, which is a true 3.7 volt, but dont quote me the 180 mah mini batt for the 510 levels out at about 3.5 to 3.7 volts so it is a better vape but battery life sux ........if you can wait 4 or five weeks check out the infinity pro from notcigs or just get a blemished one they are not that bad and some have reported that the blimishes are not even noticable...but if you can wait the infinity pro will be awesome the hit you get when you take your batt off the charger.....imagine that through the whole batt life doesnt drop off or change at all for six to eight hours....

Once you vape with a mod, it's near impossible to go back : P For the record, the AW 17670s included with the Prodigy come off the charger around 4.2v and stay there for a bit... even after a few hours of use, they still hover around 4...

Only e-cig I'd consider to replace my Prodigy would be a Precise P18, a ProVari (although I think they're ugly and definitely not as reliable as an all-mechanical tube like the Prodigy... VV= lots and lots of circuitry inside), or a Reo Grande (not sure how feel about vaping from a box)

So good to hear!!!! I know you'll love your Prodigy... it really is amazing. Those 17670 batteries are suuuper tough... and last for a long, long while... close to 3-4 days for me. The "juice well" doesnt get a lot of attention, but I think you'll find that it's extreeeeeemely handy... especially if you start dripping.

Did you get the 510 adapter with your prodigy?? If so...

Avidvaper.com has a little combo pack... 2 Cisco (Cisco is a name-brand) Low-res 306s and a drip tip for $20. I've personally used these... they pair extreeeemely well with a true 3.7v device and 306 attys are compatible with 510-threaded devices. All 4 of mine are still going strong. If you have issues with your 306s/dripping in general, try "de-wicking"... I strongly suggest de-wicking! A quick search will give you plenty of info... there are also videos on youtube. If you need help, PM me!

Ikenvape.com also makes really stellar attys and carts... They dont just re-distribute Chinese stuff... their products are unique... they hand-pick their own materials and have done a great deal of trial, error, and research... the result is a super-tough, well-performing product.

Im really, really, really genuinely excited for you... you're going to LOVE your prodigy! If you've been using a regular 510, you've been vaping @ ~4 watts... Cisco Low-res 306s with your Prodigy 3.7v will put you around 9 watts... the most popular sweet-spots are from 7-10... you're going to discover "pure-bliss" vaping very, very soon... Clouds of vapor, perfect throat-hit, amazing flavor, and consistency...

I've subscribed to this thread, I want you to report back and let me know how things are going... and, as I said, PM me if you have any issues, questions, concerns... anything!

Oh, wow. Just got the Prodigy in today, and holy crap. De-wicked my 306, and I have been dripping all day. Seriously, this thing is amazing! I don't know how it does it. I have been going for hours on end, and the battery is still going strong, thick, thick clouds. It's funny, when I started vaping, I asked myself: "what the hell was a smoking analogues for?" And now I am asking myself: "why didn't I get a mod sooner," and, of course, "why didn't I start dripping sooner?!" I got some low res cartos, and those just don't compare to the drip. They will certainly be reserved for driving--I don't think dripping and driving would be easy or safe ha. I do think I will eventually make the switch to 6v, though. It looks like a set of batteries and a charger is only twenty or so, nothing crazy. For now, though, I am enjoying the flavorful bliss! Only complaint I can think of is the nasty eLiquid they sent with it. Nice of them to include some free juice, but that stuff is gross!!

Man, I've been waiting for this post for days!!! So glad you're enjoying your V3... Did you get the Cisco 306s from Avidvaper?? If you end up going with 6v, I swear by ikenvape HV 306s... If you DID get Cisco 1.5 ohm 306s... you're vaping at 9 watts with your v3 @ 3.7v... 6v paired with IKV (3.5ohm) 306s will put you at 10 watts. There is a slight difference between 9 and 10, but they're almost interchangeable for me. Either one will really satisfy.

I didn't like the "Tonic" juice either... I tried appleonia (terrible... perfumey/chemical taste) and Tango Tea (I didn't hate it.. but I tried it once and havent touched it)

I have 306s that have been going strong for months...I bought 4 a few months back and I havent killed one yet. If they ever get gummed up or drop in performance, search "atty resurrection method"... works really, really well with 306s... I can rinse my atty, burn it, rinse it again, burn it dry and be vaping in under a minute!

PM me or post here if you have any other questions... I subscribed to this thread : )

Also, puresmoker has a "supplier" page here on ECF... its near the bottom of the main "forum" screen. ENJOY!!!

Yeah, I got the LR306 attys in. Wow, they shipped FAST! I got them in two days. I noticed they ship out of NY......I am in CA....Jeez. I actually made another order with them for some LR510 attys and a drip tip, just to try them out. So, is there some specific maintenance that should be noted for the prodigy? I tried looking up ikenvape, but it looks like their site is down. I remember you said they have some really unique items, and I want to find a really cool looking drip tip.

Happy Vaping! I know I am!

Glad to hear!! Ikenvape.com didnt work??? It's working for me. They dont have very unique drip tips, but they do have a nice variety... anything you would need is there.

I get my attys from them... they dont just stamp their name on stuff and sell it, they actually hand-pick the material to be used for their coils, etc... very high quality. If you ever try 6v, their High-voltage 306 is amazing... I hear great things about their HV 510s, too... but they're always out of stock... havent been able to get my hands on any : (

Yeah, it's working fine. Weird, I tried it yesterday, and it said under construction. Maybe they were doing some updating, or I typed in the wrong URL. Oh well. Yeah, I'm pretty content with 3.7v for now, but I am sure I will try 6v soon enough. Can you use SR attys for 6v, or do they have to be HR?

I didnt have a great experience with SR @ 6v... its just too hot! Produces about 12 watts, which is way too much. It burns juice and makes it taste god-awful. Since you're dripping 306s now, I'm sure you've taken a "dry hit" or two... its like that all the time! Also, 6v will chew through SR attys...

Basically, if you can get that combo to work, it is terrible... but most of the time the attys just pop.

If you want to try 6v, I use 2x AW CR123 LiFePo4 3v batteries (they're light blue). They fit perfectly, no washers necessary, allows you to go back and forth between the 17670 batteries and the 2x123s. You can find them from the ECF supplier "wonderlite" (just search for his name.. he's an AW battery supplier.. nice guy, great service/shipping, would also have the charger you need. These take a special charger) OR at lighthound.com... but make sure you order the correct charger!

Just a warning, enjoy all the 3.7v stuff you've purchased for a while before you jump to 6v... because you probably wont want to come back down from 6v!! I bought everything for both setups at once, now I have a lot of 3.7v stuff sitting around!

Yeah, I think I will enjoy the 3.7 for a bit. I don't want the 3.7v experience to turn like my 510 one: something I am unlikely to return to. At least my girlfriend is still vaping the 510s, so she will put the SR cartos to use. Thanks for all the info, again. I am introducing a buddies boyfriend into vaping on Tuesday. Like I was, he is doubtful about how well an ecig works. Ha, I am really glad I have the prodigy. It's going to blow his freaking mind! hehe, my girlfriend took a rip off it this morning, and I forgot to mention that it doesn't hit like our Joye 510s.....well....she coughed... a lot--especially since I have been dripping, and she is used to hitting cartos.

LOL! Oh man... going from a 510 carto to a Prodigy with a LR 306 must have hurt...

Ive been trying to get my girlfriend into vaping for a long time... just this weekend, she started hitting mine and really likes it... what have I done!?!

The new Echo is awesome. It has the 3ml carto and a 1300 or 650 automatic battery. It is the latest and best of the bigger battery devices. You can buy a 1300 mah kit for 50.00 at Cropduster901.com The carto can be refilled up to 100 times and there isn't any leakage, burning or dry hits. If you haven't tried any of the new bottom horizontal coil big cartos you are missing out on the best cartos out there.

New to this site and am currently vaping on a Joye 510 love it great vapor throat hit but the battery life sucks...Been thinking of getting an Ego or a Riva i am currently Dripping (Don't like carts) and would greatly appreciate any advice given to me because i am planning on getting new ecig in two weeks..Thanks

Sort of depends on how much you are willing to spend to get what you want. The eGo/Riva will beat the snot out of the 510 for battery life. You can get even more and generic batteries to boot, if you go over to madvapes and pick up an e-power. Similar form factor to an eGo. You can get even more than that with a Maxi Roughstack V2 also at madvapes. That one can be configured to different voltages as well.

Ego/Riva will give you just about the same vaping experience as your 510 will... but for longer. If you want more vapor/flavor/throat hit, jump into a mod. There are tube mods like the GGTB, silver bullet, prodgy, icon, etc... and then there are boxes like the monkeybox, reo, etc... whats your budget like? Do you want to upgrade your vaping or just your battery life?

I'm sure you saw through the past posts, but I just upgraded from a Joye 510, as well, and went with a Prodigy. I have been dripping on it; though, I was using cartos on my 510. I love this thing, though. Battery lasts me all day and night, and the TH stays through the whole charge, definitely not something that I got out of my 510. I really like that the prodigy has the option to use 3.7v or 6v. I only have the batteries for 3.7, but having the option to jump to 6 is really cool. Also, it's much smaller than other mods I was looking at; it kind of feels like I am holding a cigar, and I really like that.
