I guess I just want to hear that someone else has been through this before so I can stop panicking long enough to sleep...

My youngest daughter has an infected bug bite...prior to the infection I used neosporin and hydrocortisone on it, kept it clean etc...still infected

now - I have EVERY intention of taking her to the Dr. tomorrow...

I just feel so sick to my stomach

please tell me that at least one of you has been through this :(

My daughter had a similar situation when she was a toddler - took her to the doctor (after a couple others popped up -thinking she had chicken pox) and he said she had impetigo (it was on her chin and she was a thumb sucker) and that I did a good job of keeping it clean but needed oral antibiotics to clear it up.

I know how bad you feel but it's not like you didn't try to take care of a it! When my daughter was 6 months old I took her for booster shots. They took her temp like they always do and she had a 102 fever! She didn't act like she felt sick and I couldn't tell she had a fever. They did a nasal swap and the baby had RSV! Talk about feeling like a horrible mom! So please don't be so hard on yourself. Kids are more resilient then you think ;)

Thanks for all the support and kind words - they were small bug bites and one of them had gotten redder than the rest...it turns out she is having a hypersensitive reaction to what the Dr. thinks are gnat bites - some benadryl keep her from itching and change of antibiotics (she was on em for strep) to cover the bases and she should be good to go in a couple of days.

THIS is where all my gray hair comes from!

 I can not imagine having the desire to have more than I have (2)

Well, I like my silver hair! I have always had limp, light brown hair. But the silver hair that is coming in now is much thicker, and has a lot more body. I can actually keep it out of my eyes now! I'm more than halfway grey (gray?) now, and thoroughly enjoying it!

My son and daughter managed to get chicken pox and measles at the same time..both of them! (yes they had their shots..the Military is very good about that.)We had a tornado and everyone was out looking at all the damage..sick kids and not. Anyway they had to be hospitalized and isolated. My daughter's chicken pox got in her neck and got infected. Thank goodness she was already in the hospital where they could lance the infected ones and treat them..poor baby was only 6 months old!

Life happens..but that's when my hair started streaking white!

Glad to hear it was minor! Kids do cause the gray. I named my first three visible wrinkles after my kids (and husband) I stopped naming and counting after three. When I let my roots go I check for % of gray. I know how much is there. When it's 40% or more I plan on having it professionally done all over silver. I think silver is just as gorgeous as red.

If my hair were closer to my fathers It'd just get lighter and lighter. He went from Glorious flaming auburn to a pale "strawberry" blonde.
