I have been vaping for a year plus... several devices and a ..... load of juice later I've still gotten back into analogs. I just placed an order for a for a Provari. This is not a request for any type of a battle of the devices. I need to know what : tank, carto, atomizer rocked your world? I've been using tanks with lr cartos on most of my devices. I never got into dripping because I never had too much luck. I've been reading all about the Viva Nova, Penlope, Zenisis and so on. I am not a tinkerer what so ever but I am more than willing to learn. For the most part I've been juggling a GLV, a stump and a few egos. I settled with tanks because of ease to use and fill but times have changed and I feel like I am not getting the best out of my devices. With the Provari on the way I cannot afford to be disappointed... what has helped you?

I suppose this may be no help to you but I have been vaping for 2 years and only recenty began to experiment with anything other than a 1100mah ego style battery and 510 atomiser. I have tried VV devices and an assortment of clearomisers/tanks.
I would try and work out what it is you feel you are missing and go slowly from there only chaging one thing at a time until you get to something you really can enjoy.

The best set up for me after a year of vaping is the Provari and glass tanks with cartos. I get my glass tanks here- High Desert Ecigs They really changed how I enjoy vaping and they are so easy to use. Good luck! bnrk
So far for me, the very best flavor I've found is with IkenVape's Cannon and io6 dripping atomizers. They both involve a slight learning period to get comfortable with but both are well worth the trouble. Just recently tried the Cannon and it's my new favorite. After those I'd have to say the Vivi Nova... almost fiddle-free and a very nice vape.
Now I do enjoy tinkering & hope to get into rebuildable atomizers very soon. From all I've read that is the way to go and personally if I spent the money for a Provari I'd feel compelled to buy one for it (or probably anything else it said it needed, because it would own me
) But for the time being those items mentioned above running on my VTube are keeping me right happy.
If none of that helps you might try WTA e-liquid & see if that cuts your cravings

Provari I have a great device. I use cartos and a Phiniac tank. You will love it.
Provari + dripping on 306 attys. doesnt get much better than that. Plus add in a DCA to make dripping easier and I'm all set. Waiting for the 3ml surge tank and I'll give that a try too.
I use 2 Vivi Nova Tanks. Awesome. With little fuss you can switch attys to a different resistance for a stronger vape, and not waste any fluid. Cleaning is a breeze. Enough said.
The Smok Tech minis in various resistances on just about any device are my favorite at the moment. More refilling than a tank, but a great vape.
A quick question for the OP... did you reduce your nicotine over the past year by any chance? I've known several people who have quit cigarettes for 6 months to a year and then gone back. The common thread was that they reduced nicotine to little or nothing. Even after a year, that craving was still there.

For me it was all about the juice. I found after a while I would sneak in an analog here and there, not because of the equipment, but because I was missing that lung hit.
I went from 100%PG to 70%PG 30%VG and the difference in vapor is huge. A big satisfying lungful of vapor and great big clouds from an 808. Of course your provari will allow you to try out a huge array of hardware, but think about your juice man. Is it up to the task?

It's different for everyone.

You haven't said what juices you have tried at what nic level or anything. A pv no matter how good or bad is just the power source, and while the right carto, clearo or atty is important the juice is just as important if not more so.
For me 24 mg nic was enough, some have gone as high as 36 mg
Nic = throat hit
PG = adds to the th and the flavor
VG = mutes th and flavor some, but adds vapor
Also where you staying hydrated, that does affect your experience with e-cigs

As others have already said, your choice of juice will be THE MOST important decision you will make when it comes to you staying off of analogs. When I first started vaping I was completely suspicious of wether or not e cigs were the real deal or just another scam trying to take my money. Luckily for me, I began when there were actually "free" sample kits that you could call in to the customer service and quit their program and still keep the entire kit (and I'm sure I'm not the only one who did it). The other thing I did was not pidgeon hole myself into "having to quit or I fail" and that helped me keep that type of pressure off of me.
Within 4 or 5 months I was happy with what I was using (a 510 auto battery and atty w/cartridge), but saw plenty of youtube videos with people blowing massive amounts of vapor and wanted mine to perform the same. To begin my quest for vapor supremacy I actually bought an eGo-T kit. While the eGo-T was a slight improvement over the 510 and held way more juice onboard, both flavor and TH were severely lacking still. Even on a good day and because I'm a tinkerer I was able to coax a little more vapor, but well short of the mark.
I'm gonna skip past most of the stages I went because its more of the same type of deal. (eGo-W, Ceramic Cartos, Horizontal Cartos, CE2's, CE3 Smokeymizer, LR 510 Dripper, HV 510 Dripper,....etc.)
Finally after all of the experimentation I boiled down to all the equipment that I liked for my style of vaping (eGo-T 1000mah batteries, eGo-C Twist VV batteries, VV Box Mod 3.0v-7.2v, 900mah Ultrafire batteries, Smoktec 1.5ohm Single Coil Cartomizer, Smoktec LR Dual Coil Cartomizer, Phoenix Bottom Coils, and eGo Bottom Coils) Notice in all that I listed there's no mention of a device that's in the $125+ range? That's because I found a way to get all of the flexability of variable voltage without buying a Provari or Lava Tube or anything like those APV's. Trust me, it's surlely not that I don't want one, but more so that I can't afford one right now. Even with the perfect setup, I still felt that there was something that I couldn't put my finer on missing from my vaping experience.
One day an order that I placed arrived in my mail. Just like every other vaper, I rushed to fill my equipment with my brand new flavors, took a drag, and I swear I heard music playing! Like the most incredible dream come true, the one thing that I felt was lacking from my juice suddenly was there! I quickly filled more of my cartos/attys/clearo's with the other flavors in my order, praying that what I got wasn"t a fluke, and was pleasantly suprised when they all too had that spcial something. That missing something was complete and utter satisfaction. While the best setup with the best hardware no matter if its dirt cheap or overly expensive can lead you towards great vaping, low quality or badly mixed juice will fail you every time. If you focus on your juice first, then work to bring out the best qualities in it, your efforts may pay off with a little less work.

after 2 and half years of vaping i still stick on the atomizer thingy!!! eventhough this is the era for rebuildable attys i guess someday i will get RA then try to experiment on things my eyed hooked me to get a penelope i guess i will put it on my provari when ever that will happen but right now im still stickin to my 510 atty from ikv 1.5 ohm on provari.... ( iwill also conclude that after having lots of mod mech to variable, variable to mech i only got one thing in my pocket its the provari) capiche. hehehe

Thanks everyone for all the responses... I've had the Provari for a few days now and it has totally changed things up for me. Hopefully I'll be able to stay on track this time. The Vari really is a sweet change of pace.
I use a Lavatube VV device with Pyrex cartos for valleyvapes.com.. They work perfectly and are very inexpensive compared to playing around with other tanks, cartos, etc

Vaping will not MAKE you quit. But when that day comes that you decide you've had enough, that you really want to quit, vaping will HELP you quit. But you have to want it.
