little birdhouse in your soul
SO, I order my clearo and X2 auto bat from SI a few days ago and it arrived today. For the past few weeks, I have been MORE THAN happy with my SI Volt mini and cartos. I order juice to refill the cartos and that has worked pretty well too. I will likely order some CE3’s at some point soon but at this point; I am just giving things a shot to see if I would be interested. ****Easy to carry and convenience are my main motivators. I don’t want to assemble my stuff or carry a backpack to carry everything in and I think that is important information because you may buy for different reasons.
Clearo – Everything works and it is as advertised but I couldn’t really tell a significant difference between the clearo on the x2 or on the Volt batts as opposed to cartos on the Vot bat. There was a difference in taste, you can taste the filler in the cartos and not on the clearo and I REALLY like the fact that you can see how much juice is there but I didn’t see more vapor, much more of a TH and the tradeoff is that I can’t carry it with me for fear of breaking or leaking in my pocket (where I keep my mini) and a lack of a way to really carry it. I wish the tip was more comfortable but I see why it can’t be rubber. I will likely only want to use this at home or at work. My main issue is that is disposable and I would have to keep buying them, which I likely won’t. It is too much to deal with and too big to carry and I would have to use both the clearos and the carto.
X2 – I bought this with a cone for cartos and it really isn’t as big as I thought it would be. With the carto and cone, it is about the size of decent cigar. I haven’t completely charged it just yet so the batt life is something I cannot comment on BUT to have an extra battery, even if it only lasts 6 hours would be worth it. It was $10 more than the Volt batteries but the pass-through makes it worth it. For any newbie, if you don’t get the X2 or a larger battery, buy a pass-through. Before I bought this, I had 4 batteries and using the PCC had thought that I charged all of them before I left for the day – I didn’t push the button on the PCC like I was supposed to and nothing charged so I left the house with three dead batteries. I almost crapped the underoos. Fortunately, I did have one with charge but I panicked for second.
Newbie to Newbie advice is KNOW WHY YOU ARE BUYING. My opinion is only valuable to someone who shares my personal motivators. Wisdom comes from both good and bad choices and just because someone ended up with a rebuild-able MOD doesn’t mean it is the right choice for you………Second tip, cheaper is never better – the cheapest thing you can get is never the best thing; paying slightly more from a recommended source that stands behind their products will usually work out and cheaper is always for a reason……..last tip, buy back-ups for everything – especially batteries (and read the farging instructions)
