My Firelight starter kit arrived a week ago and I'm thrilled. I have gone the past week with only three packs of smokes, 23 of which were Saturday (drinking did me in). I don't smoke at work anymore, just stealth vape at my desk or go outside and vape a couple times. I feel better, I can smell and taste a little better... Which is very apparent whenever I have an analog. It's odd, I've had a couple analogs every evening except tonight, and every time I enjoy it, but they taste kind of nasty. First night after getting my kit I wasn't going to touch analogs, until both my batteries died. I've gotten better at making sure I keep one charged while I vape the other, so I can't use not being able to vape as an excuse to smoke.
Also, part of my learning curve was longer slow drags to get good vapor. Once I figured that out it helped tremendously. The other tricky part was figuring out when vapor and flavor fell off if it was the battery of cart getting low. Turns out it was the cart more often than the battery. I've gone thorugh 11 carts so far (19 left) and tonight I ordered some ejuice to try refilling and some more flavors.
I didn't necessarily want to quit smoking when I ordered my starter kit. I wanted to cut back a bit, particularly at work, and also help to get in shape so when I get more active in summer with various sports I'll hopefully have more endurance. So I got one of the cheapest kits I could find to get started and see if I'd like it. So far I'm into vaping $83 for my initial investment and according to my spreadsheet I made I'm only in the hole $44 after a week. Every day I record the number of analogs smoked and carts vaped. I'll have to modify my spreadsheet to account for refilling carts but so far looking like I'll save a fair amount of money rather quickly.
Once vaping and cutting back on smoking has paid for itself and them some I plan to spend the money saved to buy a nicer vaporizer. I liked the video reviews of the silver bullet. I want to not worry about charging throughout the day and would like more vapor. So far what I have works great though and I've found I enjoy vaping more than smoking.
