Hey China, are you listening? God knows we can't manufacture ***** here in the US!

I/We need a new PCC case.

I love my 510 so it needs to be made for that model.

Here are the requirements:

1 - Holds a completely assembled 510
2 - Holds and charges a backup battery
3 - Holds a 10ml bottle of juice
4 - Holds some spare carts
5 - Holds a spare atomizer

The pressure/contact system is good, but it's flaky.

I can see the problem with a screw in, because the cylinder would have to be slightly larger than the battery due to the button. This would cause the battery to sit loosely in the case and could cause wear on the screw in charger. Solution, when the case cover is closed, have IT hold onto the battery tightly so that it can't move around.

As far as the spare carts are concerned, personally, I would much rather have it hold the juice bottle than the spare carts as I continually refill my cart all day.

Even with holding all this, it should still be about the size of a pack of cigs.

I'll take two. :)

Add not so chincy metal on to the list please.
My 510 PCC feels about as sturdy as the old Newport box (back when the still said "crush proof").
A latch system that isnt just the metal from the latch pressed through a hole in the side of the case.
This died on my buddies, very small screw where it used to be and some solder to make sure it didn't come unscrewed.

For me fullsize + spare battery isn't necessary. Though external 510 charging connectors would be nice, just drop it in like you do now, except no need to unscrew it.

This is China though, probably better off to send them the design and watch it magically appear.

A pressure system could work if it slid in then twisted. Mine has a slot which fits the button, and making it twist at the bottom to lock should be easy.

I would much rather a system which uses the band as contact points for the charger. Make it so that the battery slips in and charges fully assembled. Then again if I had my way they would be using super capacitors instead of batteries. Just slip it in for a few seconds then pull out and smoke for a few minutes, rinse repeat.

As soon as I have some broken ones I'll begin mods. I don't like using something that works to make something that might not.

So whats the math with these "super caps" since a regular cap the discharge time constant is dependent upon the resistance of the discharge path. In the case of E-cigs out atomizers heating elements are 3-4 ohms. for a 3 to 4 second discharge time you would be looking somewhere along the lines of a 1 fared capacitor(math may be off by a factor of 10 its been a long while). which is neither cheap nor small. A regular capacitor of this capacity would be around 3" diameter and 6" tall. if its .1 fared or 100mf it would still be somewhat screwdriver handle size.

but this is sliding off topic for this thread which is about pcc's not the cigs themselves.

Math seems about right. Sizewise you should be able to fit a 5F 5v supercap in a battery tube, but I can't find any the right shape in a quick google search. I still say we need a PCC/Battery combo where you can charge a fully assembled e-cigarette. Would need contractors at the atty band. If I find a cap the right dimensions I will give it a shot.

I'd love to see one around the size of a 20 pack...and as for holding a 10ml or even a 5ml bottle, oh yes!

Must haves for me...

2x cells
2x attys
2x carts
1x bottle (even a slimmed down 5ml or 10ml would work)

Rounded corners, possibly plastic build instead of metal

If the above is doable, then I'd snap a few up in a flash.

I don't actually own a PPC yet, so I can't comment on these connection problems, I am vainly hoping to see a new improved model for christmas though...

i'd like to see a (401 for me, but applies to all i've seen) PCC that holds an assembled PV, that's a biggie for me, but what would be really cool would be interchageable lids so the case could be smaller for smaller pv's and larger for larger ones, allowing it not to get too man-purse-like if you were willing to use smaller batts. i carry a girl purse so i want the tall PCC that lets me carry my big rig ;).

and +1 on the bottle slot, i'd prefer that to a bunch of cart slots, i usually only carry one cart and top it off. so a spare batt (assembled cig) slot, a charging slot, a spare atty slot and a bottle slot would be perfect, and one spare cart slot would be good for flavour switching.

also it must not discharge when you leave a charged batt in too long, but they seem to have resolved that with the new "smart" PCC's.

djguido, they do have pcc's for the 401 now, there are a couple places taking pre-order for them, Absolutely e-cigs (China) has them in stock, Litecig has them on the way, and SharpSmoker has the VOGUE 401 PCC, which i got one of and it's nice-looking (matte black rubbery plastic) but does discharge if you leave a charged batt on the charger and only charges 2 401 batts fully, and another one maybe 1/4 of the way. so i'll be trying out one of the new "smart" ones linked to here when Shawn (Litecig) gets them in. i hope he puts his logo on it cuz it's a cool logo, but it'll prolly be the same generic one Absolutely e-Cigs has. check the "401/402/mini" forum for some chatter on them.

if you do id like to see a 510 pcc that will hold / charge the 510 mega battery and instead of extra carts have a space for a bottle, i know that the longer battery would make the case look like a pack of vagina slimes (virginia slims) but i can deal with that because for me form follows function, im actually supprised that TW hasnt come out with a pcc for the mega model as they are the ones that have cornered the market on 510 pcc's anyway (at least they are the only one i have seen)

The 510 PCC seems like an utter FAIL in the design category. Mine worked like it was supposed to most of the time, at least it did until I dropped it on the cement. I don't think the case itself was initially designed to be used as a charger, I think the metal case itself was a previously manufactured part and the charger part is added in later, as I am pretty sure I have seen the exact same case is available for sale without the charger insert. It is cheap, but I wouldn't mind paying more for a device of higher quality design and construction.

It would be nice if it held multiple batteries. Heck, at the size it is, it could charge multiple batteries. The sensitive push button lid always sprung open in my jacket pocket, so the battery didn't end up charging half the time, which sometimes resulted in disappointment. I soon determined that it was a far better idea just to carry around multiple charged batteries, than the sharp-edged bulky PCC. Also note that the PCC costs about the same as an Ego battery, which is much more efficient than charging 510 batteries that die after 45 minutes or less anyway.

With new Ego-style batteries, it would be nice just to have a case specifically molded to hold a spare atomizer, some juice and a spare battery or two. Of course that design would need to be without the sharp metal edges that not only destroy clothing, but also tear into flesh and leave unwanted bloody gashes.

I realize people have found interesting existing mini bags with elastic straps and tupperware type containers to lug around their e-cig works , but something discrete, classy, and properly engineered would be something I would pay $$ for. I used to spend literally hundreds of dollars a month on cigarettes, so tossing out the occasional fifty or a hundred bucks on new e-cig toys is still a bargain. I guess I got what I paid for with the 510 PCC, it was cheap for a reason. One is better off just buying 2-3 extra 510 batteries for the same price and carrying those around, or better yet, an Ego battery.
