A Note from Mary Kay

OK Ladies, I need you all to do me a favor. The next time a guy stumbles in here, please do not respond unless it is a note of encouagement or sympathy. If they just make an honest mistake like the last poster did..fine, no problem. But please do not respond except to say in a nice manner that they are in the Women's Room. One of you..not six of you..LOL Then continue the conversation as if the post had not been made.

It causes too many hard feelings if I have to ask them not to continue posting.

This is the Women's Room for a reason and that reason is not to exclude or be rude, it's to provide a place for women to have a nice time, share info, make posts regarding women's issues and to be cranky if they want to. without being flamed or dissed. When nice guys post, it encourages not so nice posts from others.

Please do not engage, antagonize or otherwise continue to reply.
I will handle it. We just don't need to make enemies or make the rest of the board feel as though we are not behaving politely.
Remember my one rule, Play nice.

Be aware that anyone can read these posts, this is NOT a private forum..just restricted to ladies when the board works. There are lots of glitchs that allow anyone to post..except when we want them to!

No one did anything wrong! No need to be sorry.
This was just for the next time kind of thing. The last guy was very nice and the exchange between the two guys was funny!
The problem is, just like Jennee mentioned 'This Time". The next time may not be as pleasent as we have seen in the past.
I promised to keep things running as Kate started it, with humor and a gentle hand. Also it was her wish to provide a safe place for Women..I just added the no worries about spelling and editing thing.

ROFL!! That is just too funny the way you put that Barenetted.

I inadvertently walked into a men's restroom once... a rather large restroom where all the men were lined up at the stalls... all turned their heads at once to look at me... oh gawd... where WAS I hahaha!!

Uptown is one of the nicer guys. It was rather fun to tease him. But your right Mary Kay - good advice.

I remember when I first joined the Women's Room. You couldn't post back then without being a member. I wonder what has changed?

This was always supposed to be a private forum, where you had to join to post..but not private if you just wanted to read. That is the way all the user owner forums are. Except for a few who are PRIVATE invitation only.
The problem is that if you come in by way of the new posts side bar (to the right of the main screen..newest posts) Or by way of the New post search, you can post with no problem. Some of you didn't join until asked to, but could post. Some can make 1 or 2 posts and then be asked to join by the board. The whole thing is a crap shoot. But that's ECF!
I don't want this to be a locked down private forum. I can't trap every single woman on this board..or even recognize them. So how are they supposed to find us?
We aren't talking about anything so ultra secret that men can't read..nor are we so timid and shy as to let a little beer and sweat bother us once in a while.
Roll with it Ladies..sometimes it's fun! I or one of the "Real" mods will deal with the problems in here.

I meant to add, if a guy really wants in..he can join, but first he has to say he's a girl..that's the only safeguard we have..they don't like all the pink panty hose, and dresses and hats!

I am so out numbered in my house. My cat is female but our two dogs are male, then there is my husband and two sons,lol I have a daughter but she doesn't live here. I'm used to having all guys here so it really doesn't bother me if men are in here. I was just thinking of the shy women we get now and then.
