A question or two about juice crud/residue.

I recently got a Kayfun 3.1 (which I love) and have been using various juices in it. On Saturday I bought a bottle of five pawns Queenside. I ran it with a fresh coil & wick (organic boiled cotton) all day Sunday. I thought I may have had a sub par build by the evening, so I decided to start fresh. The old coil was very gunked up, a lot more crud than I've gotten with other juices. I made a new coil and ran about a tank maybe two through today.
This coil was also really cruddy after a day. Sorry no pictures, I didn't figure out how to take close up pictures until I'd already replaced the coil.

Has anyone else run into this before? I expect a little extra residue with darker juice but this seemed like a lot. The coil was pretty good out of the gate but definitely went downhill over time.
Does anyone have any pointers for prevention or lessening of the gunk?

Yep I get crud on my kayfun coils. In one of my kayfun tanks the fluid is dark and its sweeter. It really gunks up that coil. I dryburn the coil after I change the cotton. No need to rebuild the coil just clean it most of the time.

I rebuilt the last couple times because I thought it was the coil. I usually just burn then put new cotton in. Maybe 5 pawns will only go in the dripper in the future.

Some liquids are just coil cloggers. I had a coil clogged completely unusable after just 3 ml before, don't remember the liquid. The voltage your using can make a difference also, higher voltages tend to keep the coil cleaner for a longer period of time.

I use it on a mech I haven't invested in a regulated mod yet. My only concern was to not torch the cotton. I guess I need to get a regulated mod and some ekowool.
