If you're talking about buying a bottle of liquid and filling cartomizers/cartridges/tanks yourself, you can use any kind of liquid you want from any vendor. If you are talking about buying pre-filled cartomizers, then they would both need to be 510 threaded units. I think they both are, but since I haven't used either of those, someone else will have to confirm that.

In my opinion for starter kits from what I've seen Volcano is a bit overpriced. Paying for the name, it looks to me that many of their e-ciggs are just re-branded. They're 50-50 some people LOVE em, other people ... not so much. I personally think you should take some time here on ECF to inform yourself to be absolutely positive about whatever it is your heart wants )

Thanks! What is the best liquid vendor?
And is liquid filling yourself the way to go?

The best supplier is totally subjective, there are lots of good ones.

The amount of juice that is in a prefilled carto will only last about 1/10 of the cartos life, so at the very least you would want to refill them.
Most of us buy them without juice in them so that we can use the flavors we like.

Any liquid can be used but whatever model you chose the parts will have to match such as matching 808 or 510 cartomizers or atomizers. If you're looking at a Kr808 cig looking style there are cheaper options than V2. For something with better battery life but a little bigger Crystal Clear Vaping has a nice E- Power by Smoktech in a nice little bundle with everything you need.

Everything I've read says fill yourself - the pre-filled cartridges are usually not liked much, maybe because the liquid has been sitting around in them for awhile.

There is a lot to consider just with liquid:
    mg - strength of nicotine
    PG / VG
    Flavors

If you have the budget get a couple of flavors & strengths in small (ml) bottles because taste is very individual.

    I'm right behind you
v2 has quality stuff, I got the ultimate kit. However after a week, I had a kGo on the way and have been a happy camper ever since. If you have to have a cig looking device, check out vapor4life. They always have sales and have great CS. They have a sale going on right now until 6pm CST for 37 percent off everything using code madness37. welcome to ECF!

Well i got the V2, and i love it... If i remember correctly they are the 808's.

In my opinion they are a great starter getting into vaping, Analog free for 3 weeks and currently i vape heavily on it throughout the day. and i would recommend getting at least their PCC if you think you might be using it alot. the manual batteries are great, but in the pcc the button does have a chance of getting pressed and draining the battery, nor do the extra long ones fit in it, but last quite a bit longer then the other 2 sizes. I have 1 xl batt, and 2x regular 1 auto and 1 manual that i use with my PCC. I use these when i am out and about, and while i am at work. The XL batt and the power-cig my wife uses. And i use the power-cig when i am at my computer.

I got their Ultimate starter set when they had a sale, and am happy that i took the chance, great customer service, though careful when you order, mostly during the big sales, cause they to tend to run out of certain flavors and strengths.

Decided to get in to the DIY juices and still using my original carts with my order and have only lost 5x carts, but that was because i was a little too aggressive in cleaning them. have Dripped and Vaped heavily off one cart for about 5 days (love my Menthol from Flavors apprentice)

Electronic Cigarette - Starter Kits - Riva 510

If you're looking for a good value and long battery life, I would recommend a kit from here. You'll have to purchase juice to go with the kit you pick. Most electronic cigarettes out there are just clones of each other. 510 is the most common. I use Riva batteries. They last me about 6 hours. Cartomizers are convenient, but anything with 510 threading will work.

You'll have to sample juice from a number of places to find what you like. Look at the eliquid review section on this site and also look up reviews of suppliers. I use Freedom Smoke USA for the most part. For tobacco flavors, a lot of people recommend Halo.
