A quick question about ingredients

Hi everyone, kinda new to this. But starting to get into making my own juices, and want to know for sure if these chemicals are safe to vape.

caramel colour, FD&C yellow #5, triacetin. Contains sulphite

It's best to use flavorings with no food coloring, additives, oils,etc.

What brand of flavoring ?

to be honest its a crazy idea of using a coffee shops flavor shots, So i would have to do some digging on if i can find out what brands they use

Don't even bother. The products they use will be totally unsuitable for vaping as will most flavorings you find in grocery stores.

TFA, Flavor Arts, Inawera, Hangsen, Capella are some of the well known flavoring companies used in DIY.

Do your research first. There are lots of things that are perfectly safe to eat/drink that react badly when heated to gaseous state. Chemical reactions occur that form entirely new substances. Some of them can be toxic. If you can't find a list of everything that's in those "flavor shots" and then find info on what happens when they are vaporized, I wouldn't chance it.

Nothing is safe.

We are the guinea pigs.

I'm over 50, so hey, I'm up for it!

If you're young, I'd say hang back let us oldies go first.

I still vape mostly unflavoured; I mean I add flavoured eliquid to it for flavour the the bulk of what I vape is just the vg+water base. And personally I figure, when you use a lot of flavour your tastebuds get kinda overdosed anyway, and it's better to use light flavour.


Smell and taste is a funny thing; just a whiff of a fart can really stink.
Sometimes all you need is just a whiff
