Some fortunate timing of a post in the iVape give-away contest netted me a bottle of Sweet Caroline. Thank you again to Joe (Kno) for running such a generous contest.

Truth be told, I probably would have shied away from an e-liquid called; "Sweet Caroline" under normal circumstances. Well over a year into vaping, I'm one of the odd balls that clings to tobacco flavors and NOT sweet flavors. I would have missed out on SC for that reason and that would have been unfortunate for me. See, SC is, well, not the most accurately named flavor. <g>

SC is a unique flavor. I'm not getting an overly sweetness to it, just a touch on the exhale. It's a nice blend for me.

So, what does it taste like? Well, I can best answer that by describing what it is NOT like. It's not like any Honey Flue cured tobacco that I have ever tried. It's different than most DeKang tobacco flavors, be it USA or Marlboro or *those* variations. It DOES compare to DeKang's "Dunhill" inasmuch as being a *dirty* tobacco flavoring, IMHO. Not that *dirty* is a bad thing. *Dirty* is my descriptor for tobacco that reminds one of an analog, as opposed to high quality tobaccos used for pipes and cigars. It is MUCH easier to replicate the taste of pipe tobacco and cigar tobaccos in e-liquid. The analog with its 4,000 ingredients? Not so much. =)

An aside --

When Kno informed me of being one of the winners of the contest, I *lightly* requested if I could have the nicotine increased to 18mgs at my expense. Kno informed that he wanted to keep a standardization throughout the prizes being rewarded. 'Twas a fair comment that I completely understood. I was, however, skeptical of a much lighter TH than I am used to. (bottles awarded were all 12mg) The TH is indeed a bit lighter, but not so much that this bottle will be given away, nor will it become part of a PIF on my part, which I kind of thought might be the case beforehand. This was a pleasant surprise for me as I have been trying to reduce my nic intake but not at the cost of less TH.

The equipment used for vaping the SC and for this review is as follows:

-- an eGo with a standard 510 atomizer and a FistPack also with a standard 510 atomizer at the low setting of 4.4ish volts. I have not yet tested the SC with an LR atty but I will shortly. It is my experience to lay off a flavor for a day or two and then re-test it as flavors/tastes tend to change. I don't like to initially test a new flavor with HV or with an LR atty as that throws off the taste and TH, obviously.

I would recommend SC to the newbie looking for something that "tastes like an analog" and to the veterans who can't quite remember what an analog tastes like. LOL SC is definitely one to try out and might even make my rotation.
