a sad miserable story of defeat

Sadly this has to be my first post but I had to get it off my chest. I'll just type this in point form for the sake brevity.

1.Smoke for 15 years. Helps with mental issues that I have been having for years. Ciggs =MAOI = antidepressant in short)( google scholar Brain monoamine oxidase A inhibition in cigarette smokers)

2. Tried quitting. Max I went was 2 years without ANY ciggs. Mental issues became too severe and needed to medicate again. Relapsed.

3. Found out about vaping weeks back.

4. Talk here and there(not from anyone here) in this fine country and got a 1 month only Kangertech submini + some juice( from some hispter user who got bored and hardly used it).

5. Used for two weeks or so only in my home. Absolutely zero desire to buy another cigg ever again. Loved my vape. Went back to gymming. Life was good. It was picking up again.

6. Wanted to start DIYing my own 0mg nicotine stuff. Extremely interested in it.

7. It died. Won't turn on. Just out of the blue. Battery checked. No leaks. No short. No burnt smell from the mod etc etc.

8. Went back to smoking.

9. Can't afford to get another one....and slightly paranoid that I might just ....ing buy another and it would die again and more $$ fly away.

10. Hope I smoke enough to die by 40 from lung cancer or some other horrible disease.

Not looking for a pity party but I guess it is a reminder for you guys who got multiple mods and .... that you are very lucky and should not take it for granted. Some of us want to but bo pian.

But brother, maybe you can get a mech mod. No wires, no chips, no electronics. Just pure conductive metal. It will technically last you a lifetime. Metal doesn't spoil... maybe it degrades over time but long enough to keep you occupied for years.

Tiny update, I found this thread on reddit, some guy had the same problem and he replied with this.

"They did actually fix me up. Apparently if you let the battery get below 10%, it won't charge the battery in the mod. They dropped my battery in an external charger and it worked fine."

Unfortunately I don't have a charger with me right now but can anybody verify if they had the same issue?

Regarding the batt.. why not bring you batt to one of those R/C hobby shops and ask them to verify in their chargers to see if it works.. of coz using the pretext that u wanna obtain another battery from them, might as well actually. Then u would have a spare(not a bad thing).... Just remember dun bring the mod into public view ya.

My batt died on my previously too. What I did was...

Went to rc shop anywhere you can find, I asked them to test it.

They told me I discharged it way below it should and they kick started it with their gears, voila. It's back to life. How much I paid? $5. That's all.

Local price is high.. Hundreds for a mod vs 12 bucks for a pack of ciggy.. He'll hv to stop for 10 days.. At least

Vaper go fashionable and all went for fancy prc electronic stuff than have a short lifespan.
Be it purchase or DIY, try get hold of at least one mech mod, and go into RDA/RBA.
With some simple maintenance, they'll last for years.

There are mech mod out there that come with fuse.

It's the luck of the draw when it comes to PVs from China. Nothing last forever.
My iStick 60W died within a month but replaced under warranty.
My Subox Nano had display & firing issues within a month but still chugging along.
Hope this not against the rules but maybe the OP should make day trip to JB.
