Hi. New user here.

I ordered my first ecig on Wednesday after seeing Scott's reviews on youTube. Didn't have an interest in them before having only seen the early models on news reports a year or two ago, but they seem to have improved greatly from what I remember seeing.

Ended up settling on the black Evolution, in part because I thought the satin black cig with the blue LED just looked incredibly cool! Maybe I'm just shallow :) but it helps that it seems to be a good ecig from a reputable supplier.

Anyway, here's my question: I'm expecting it to arrive tomorrow as it was posted first class on Thursday, and I was wondering if the batteries are supplied charged? From what I understand of Lithium Ion batteries they are supplied this way for the health of the battery, it's always been my experience with iPods and laptops. So can I unpack my Evo and start using it straight away?

Oh well, found the answer right there on Intellicig's website :)

Is the Intellicig really READY TO USE straight out of the box?
Intellicig is the only electronic cigarette in Europe to be supplied ‘READY to USE’ No need for you to charge 8-12 hours first! which is very frustrating when you are wanting to try it straight out of the box! We take extra effort during manufacture to prepare the battery and charge it prior to despatch to you.

Howdy Joe;

The EVO is a good cig. Parts are interchangeable with the M401. I figure I'll let you in on a battery fact before it freaks you out.

Most batts have a vacuum switch that activates when you draw on the mouthpiece. EVO's have a sound sensor which senses the sound of the air rushing by to activate the battery. In noisy enviroments, your EVO will turn on by itself. I gave my EVO batterys to my brother-in-law to use with his M401's.

Don't get the wrong idea, I think the EVO's are great, but they are sensitive to sound.
