Please Help Li ion question

Sorry if i posted in the wrong category still fairly new to the forum. SO I've been researching mods and came across a question. I as in need of a 3.7v li ion battery. I have a laptop I broke a couple months ago but the battery pack is in pristine condition. Until I got my hands on it. I pried open the battery and found 6 flat top lithium ions inside!!!!! Great score for something gathering dust in my closet. MY problem is I Cant seem to figure out if they are protected or not. Can anyone help?

The only thing it says on the battery is:

ICR18650 - 22F
SAMSUNG SDI
1A33


It's printed exactly like that on each of the 6 batteries. All I know for sure is that they are 3.7v 2200mAh batteries which in my opinion are killer batteries.
Someone give me something please!!!!!!!

Quick update...

ust found out they are bare cells, unprotected.
Anyone give me advice on how to use they safely? I just need to make sure i have a protection circuit right?
