A special moment in my life

There are moments in every girl's life which are special. Her first pair of shoes, the first hand bag she chose herself (I was one and dragged my dad back across Hamley's toy store for it...I've still got it!), her first day of school, her wedding day, the birth of her first child... today is one of those days for me. Today I received my first multimeter through the post from Amazon and, thanks to you guys pointing me in the direction of certain Youtube videos, I know what to do with it! I'm like a kid at Christmas, trying to test things out!

Just be careful plugging it into the mains! (IIRC that's what you call it over there, and it's 240, right? Make sure the meter is on its highest ACV setting, and that you're holding the insulated part of the probes! Otherwise you run the risk of becoming a vaporized vaper!!)

You are understating it a bit don't you think? Women seem to think EVERY pair of shoes acquired is a special moment. Even when they buy ones that are the same color they already have.

When my gf finds a pair she loves, she buys like a pair in every available color. It's like what I do with mods, so I can't blame her.

It's awesome when you learn new skills and how to apply them, probably why I have so many hobbies. The satisfaction I get from figuring things out is the main reason I do all my tinkering.

Congrats, Rachy. A multimeter is an incredibly useful piece of gear to have; take it from someone who owns several and uses them daily at home and at work (I'm gazing at my trusty Fluke 179 as I write this).

I love my 179, and my 322. Fluke is top notch. Hope you enjoy your multimeter. Many more uses than just for "vaping research"

Congrats on the meter! They are SO useful! Checking battery voltage, coil resistance, etc.

I still have an original Fluke 8020; 40 years and still running strong! I also use two benchtop 8840's.
