Thanks plantlvr! I wondered what that bug was myself. If I had known what it was I would have killed it.

Yeah those bugs mate and eat flowers at the same time. Then they drop to your lawn and lay eggs. Then the grubs eat the roots of your lawn. Nasty little beasts, but I'm sure they have a purpose on the grand scheme of things, like flys and mosquitos, etc.

Mind boggling......... I love flowers! Anyone know what the ninth one down is? It sort of looks like a Stokesia, the leaves are the same, but the petals are less full-looking........????? Plantlvr?

That's a wonderful compliment that just Made My Day! Thank you so very much! I always try to take the photos so that the viewer feels like they were right there seeing, smelling and touching the object in the photo as I snapped the shutter on the camera. My professional photography mentor taught me that many years ago. (Thanks Lee!)
