Not that I have aspirations of ever being a Charles Dickens (do you know that he got paid by the word?), but I have my own tales to tell.

One is a sad and troubling tale about another VV device. I won't mention a competitor's name on this forum, but it starts with a V and the device's name starts with a J. While it was attractive enough, it was defective out of the box with a loose connector. So I wrote to the supplier-nicely at first. After 6 days of no answers, 6 BLEEPING DAYS!!!!!!!!!!! I finally get an answer which basically said that it was my fault that the device was not working. My complaint was a really wobbly atty thread that caused an intermittent firing.

The not so nice lady in CS said it was my atty shorting the unit (!!##@$^^$?????) even when I told her that my attys worked fine on my other PV's. Finally on the 8th day, she gave me a return number with a guarantee of a 5 day turnaround. At this stage, I decided to pull the plug and wanted my money back. The not so nice lady in CS told me I had 3 days to do it. It cost me a fortune in extra shipping since the 3rd would have been on a Saturday. Over $45 down the drain on restocking and shipping.

So I ordered a ProVari. After about two months the window popped in. Sent an e mail last Monday and got an IMMEDIATE RESPONSE to return the unit. I sent it to ProVape, and it arrived today. I am in Michigan and ProVape in on the West Coast. Amazing USPS! The government does work well, sometimes.

So, in same time than it took to get any kind of answer from that nasty, nasty woman at the competition, I got my ProVari repaired and returned.

The ProVari is a great looking unit that is built like a tank with a battery design that lasts and some nifty functionality which is actually useful and not a gimmick. After my poor experience with an integrated design like the eGo, I will never buy another PV with a non replaceable battery. Also, I do not like the idea of having to plug my whole unit into the charger to get the battery to recharge which are the reasons for not going with a Darwin. The Darwin looks like a well built unit, and I am not knocking it, but the non replaceable battery is a deal breaker for me.

So my choice is the ProVari as the top dog in VV right now.

Most importantly, the ProVari has a company that stands behind it.

If you are looking for a VV, then buy the ProVari! ProVape will not let you down.
