I recently started using sax (bottom coil) clearomizers for my e-pipes. When refilling one of them I found that it was leaking e-juice like water through a sieve. It was coming out of the center hole of the 510 contact on the bottom eGo threaded connector.
I thought that I had either broken the clearomizer somehow or that I had a "bad" clearomizer. I very nearly tossed it out, but I kept it - thinking that someone here could enlighten me about this problem.
After refilling my other clearomizers several times I noticed a pattern. When the top soft plastic cap (seal) was off of the clearomizers for refilling, the e-juice ran out of the center hole at the bottom. If you leave this seal off for very long after filling, all the ejuice in the clearomizer will run out. If you replace this seal quickly after filling, a few drops will leak out of the center hole and then it will stop.
I've come to the realization that these clearomizers require a slight negative internal pressure to keep the e-juice from flooding the (bottom) wick and leaking out of the vent hole below the element.
I'm posting this because these clearomizer don't come with instructions and I don't recall any of the video reviews on them mentioning this behavior. If you're filling one of these sax clearomizers, quickly replace the seal on the top of the clearomizer after filling to avoid losing your e-liquid. I was fooling around recapping my e-juice bottle and putting it away in the 'fridge before placing the seal back on the clearomizer. Now I know better.
