While looking at a male RCA connector I found that male barrel end allowed an 801 battery connector to be scewed in but it was loose. Hmmm I thought to my self, If I bought a 801 dye and rethreaded the RCA theads so they were not so tight I could screw on an 801 to 901, 510 etc adapter making my quick change adapters lower in profile. So here is what I did. In picture 1 you see the standard RCA male adapter from radio shack. Picture 2 shows the RCA male adapter removed from the barrel, I then cut off the ground piece with a pair of pliers. Picture 3 shows the re-threading of in my 801 dye. Picture 4 shows the threading complete. Picture 5 shows the result after I ground down the end on my grinder.
