Went over to VaporJoes. He has a friend who's taken some 18650s put them in a mobile battery bank and attached a connector (Limited Variable Voltage, in steps, I assume) and is purportedly rockin this insane long life mod.
You can read about it directly on his blog (today's post) wwwVaporJoesDOTcom but the most interesting component is this:
CHINA-SELLS.COM-Wholesale and retail supply of electronic cigarettes from China - Adapter USB
........'s and associate are talking 10000 mAh, but there are battery banks out there now that will accomodate 6 18650s that I found here:
http://www.fasttech.com/products/1/...vo-602-diy-1a21a-618650-dual-usb-output-mobil
Which, in theory at least, would provide 18.6 AMPS (18600mAh) with a half a dozen Panasonic 3100 mAh 18650s.
Yes, the 3400 mAh are also out there but a bit wider, so not sure about the fit.
I am still most intrigued about the little USB to 510 connector.
Think it'll work?
Wow.
