I just sent them a nastygram with their contact form and told them I thought it was sleazy to call that model 510-anything, that it was confusing to new vapers, and that I was going to warn people away from their model every chance I get.

BTW - the description does say it is RN4081 but as a new vaper you would not know that is a different threading. You can get 4081 to 510 adapters and vice versa is you ever want to (Goodprophets.com and elsewhere)

510-ONE battery description
"batteries for Classic (RN4081) model fits several popular model ecigs (i.e. Smoking Everywhere, njoy, etc...) If your not sure about your model feel free to give us a call."

Thanks for all of the input, guys!! I have been off for a couple of days because I live in a tourist town and work on the weekends, plus our sweet niece is visiting so I have someone to entertain. We have had wonderful experiences with our Joye 510's and are only buying from sites now that let you know up front if a part is not made by Joye. We are still using the e-cigs that we ordered in our original starter kits from Aqua Vapor, but once they are dead, that will be the end for us.

Thanks, Dormouse, for being our advocates! I felt so ignorant about all of this starting out, that I would not have thought to contact them to complain. I so appreciate this forum and the support that I get here (and the support that my husband gets second hand through me!). =D

I've researched a lot of different Chinese suppliers and sometimes I have seen suppliers that list things wrong. This COULD be a mistake by the vendor based on getting misinformation from their supplier. It's probably better to contact the vendor and mention the issue to them just in case they don't realize it's not a 510 model. I'm not sure what the 501 model looks like, but I have seen those listed on Chinese sites before. Maybe that's what it is.

No responses to my post? Not surprising since most of what I see on ECF is great comments about vendors that advertise or support ECF financially regardless of their prices or quality. When it comes to vendors that aren't a supporting or advertising vendor on ECF everyone is quick to make bad comments about them regardless if they have the facts or not. Maybe that's why some vendors are not advertising on ECF.

Anyway, from what I can tell and from the information I have been able to gather their are some more facts around this thread that have not been posted so my question is Madison did you contact AquaVapor or did they contact you regarding your claim that they sent you what they called a 510 but wasn't a 510? As I said before what they sell on their site as a 510 is a 510 so if that's what your ordered that's what you would have got unless they screwed up and sent you the wrong thing.

WOW...not sure where this is coming from. I have only been vaping for a few weeks. I have no political agenda nor do I intend to push one vendor versus another as I am pretty freaking clueless as to what is out there right now. I personally have not responded because I have been working like crazy and my 12 year old niece was here for two weeks. I don't have time to track every single post in response to posts that I may have made. I am not on here every day or even every other day, so your not getting a response from me has everything to do with me living my life and NOTHING to do with whether a company I ordered from supports ECF. I could NOT care less about that crap. Being new to this myself, I wanted to try to help anyone who is coming here for support not to make the same mistake that I did.

My brother-in-law and sister-in-law also ordered from AquaVapor and they got the same "510's" that my husband and I got.... I gave them our chargers, batteries, atomizers and cartomizers so they would have backups as the models that they received were identical to ours but will not work with any of the other 510 equipment that we have gotten from friends (a friend sent me some batteries) nor that we have ordered from other companies. I did NOT call or contact the company, because as I stated in just about every post that I have made to this forum: I AM A NEWBIE and don't know what I am doing. I thought that the mistake was mine, at first. I decided the thing to do was to make lemonade out of lemons and donate our original equipment purchased from AquaVapor to our family members who are also trying to quit smoking. We had less invested in our purchase from AquaVapor than in purchases from other companies...ALL equipment which, is interchangeable AND if you look back through my posts, I asked that question on this forum before ordering from another company for that very reason.

As your user name states: "I don't know you." You don't know me either. I would appreciate it if, in the future, you would not make veiled accusations that I have some sort of agenda by posting here. I have no such agenda. Perhaps you do?

They say on the listing fine print that is is RN4081 and yet they call it a name with 510 in it - not good business

I tell people to always buy real Joye (or Janty - the inventor, Joye is the manufacturer) 510 for their first 510 or Ego and here is yet another reason why. The other reasons are quality and to avoid reverse-polarity clones with chargers that will fry a real 510 battery.

dormouse, I have figured out what the deal is. After looking at posts by "idontknowu," every post they have made is in support of Aquavapor and their products. Looks suspiciously like this is someone who is spamming the board because they have some sort of interest in that particular company.

Nothing wrong with having a preferred supplier is there. They have been good to me and I am loyal to them.

I actually just called them to place an order and I asked them if they were aware of this post. They were and also told me they had reached out to the original poster to address the issue. They would not give me any details other than they sent what was ordered and what was ordered and the know what a 510 is and they have never called a model something that's it's not.

Not true...the only person that has ever reached out to me from AquaVapor is you. There is no way that they could reach out to me unless they contacted me on this board. If I was shipped the wrong item then so were my family members.

Shame on you for pushing your company and blatantly misleading new members to this forum. I intend to report you to the moderators.

The site is formatted like a lot of the scam sites.

Any time you see ads like "As seen on TV", it's time to close the web page.

It appears to be listed as a RN4081 manual in the reviews. I've never had an RN4081, as they aren't very common for ECF users, but I'm guessing that's a 510mini, which might very well be different than a standard 510. The wording on their site is ambiguous, and I'm sure that's on purpose.
This is one of the first suppliers I ordered from when I began vaping, and I soon learned they OVERRATE everything they sell. Like the "New 510N they advertise the only ecig you will every need". Just a cheap 510 something.

Yeah...funny the difference a few weeks and a little education makes. Any other site I have visited lists all of their customer reviews; good, bad or indifferent. On this site, every review that you are allowed to see is FIVE stars.... They got $50 out of me, and I don't regret taking the leap that got me and hubby started vaping, but hopefully this information will keep someone else from getting equipment that is misleading/mislabled.

You have to take opinions and recommendations on ECF with a grain of salt. Even though it is not uncommon for folks to be a fan of a particular supplier, fanboyism is not always warranted. If a member is excessively promoting a particular brand or site it is not unreasonable to think that the person's advice may be "suspect" or be based on ulterior motives.

We manually screen all suppliers that become registered suppliers for deceptive advertising, and our members are very good at calling out a vendor that doesn't live up to the standards set by ECF to become (and stay) a registered supplier. My personal decision is to stick with registered suppliers here on ECF and sites that are have good reputations in the community as a whole, not just a couple fanboys/fangirls. Of course that is just my two cents on the matter, your opinions and mileage may vary.

Madison I deleted your post because it is against the rules to post private email/IM/PM conversations without the permission of the sender.
I also cannot comment on the ban that was made but the reason is very clear why the messages were deleted...

I totally understand. No harm intended. I apologize for breaking the rules and will be sure not to do so in the future.

ahh crap i just ordered a ego 510 starter kit from them. -_- has there been any changes in the rep of AquaVapor? Or did i just get scammed out of $75?

I just ordered the 100ml sample pack yesterday with 10 10ml bottles of liquid. It's usually 29.95 not including shipping but I used their "switch" coupon to get 3 dollars off and free shipping, so 27 dollars for 100ml of juice isn't bad at all! They sent out the order yesterday and the tracking number says expected delivery is Saturday, so they're really quick at shipping. As for liquid quality, I'll have to update you on that on Saturday. Even if the liquid isn't the best, I'll have 10 different flavors and for 27 bucks it's a steal. So far so good with this vendor when it comes to fast processing/shipping.

I have been using Aquavapor for about 6 months with absolutely no problems. I read a post from another member in this thread that stated the website looked like a scam site. Believe me, Aquavapor is not a scam so rest easy. Their customer service has been fantastic. I got a bad battery one time so I emailed them immediately. They shipped out a new one that same day even though the website specifically states that no new batteries will be sent UNTIL the old one is shipped back for inspection to ensure it was not damaged through misuse. I have purchased e-liquid, 510 batteries, 4081 batteries, Ego kits, and a bunch of cartos and other accessories from them.

Remember, Aquavapor is a vendor, not a company like Provape or Notcigs. Those companies actually design and produce their own PVs. Other companies like Rawr Vapor or Juicy Vapor make their own e-liquid right here in the good ol' USA. Aquavapor doesn't make anything (that I am aware of). They are strictly a vendor and they sell ecig products that they buy from suppliers, most of which in China. I'm not thrilled about the China thing, but that's the world we live in now guys.

You shouldn't have any problems with them at all.
