I hope madvapes will restock these when they run out. This is a really nice light with a good LED in it. I was torn between the A20 and the BR01 because they both take an 18650 and they both have the same high quality LED. I'll probably buy the BR01 just to have one, but I'm so pleased with the A20 that I'll probably get a couple to carry in my vehicles and to throw in the camping gear.

The light is well made, has smooth threads, and isn't much larger than my mag lights. It has a rubber sealed bottom mounted switch. It is O-ring sealed at the bottom and the lens so it is water resistant and maybe even water proof to some certain depth (but I'm not planning on testing it).

If the one I bought holds up to a month of my job, these are going to be Christmas and birthday gifts for my uncles, nephews, and co-workers.

I know I mentioned it: It takes an 18650 natively. If I keep this light in my truck, I'll always have some extra power for my maxi rough stack if I drain whatever batts I'm using and forgot to pack spares. --- And now that I'm hooked on the 4.8v ni-mh batts and sometimes stacking my lifep04's, I've really wanted something good to do with all the 18650s I have laying around. This suits that need perfectly.

I really like this light. In fact, I'm going to head off and order one for my dad as soon as I hit "submit thread" for this post.

I'm seriously wanting this light, but I have no clue what switch to use in it. Me and My friend are both gonna make two mods out of these, but it's also our first ones, so we're tryin to get all the info on how to do it before we even order them. Not sure what all Imma need to get for it. How did you go about doing yours?

I'm now actually planning on just using it as a flashlight. This light is of much higher quality than I expected for sixteen bucks. My intention when I bought it was to mod it... but not now. - I lose or break 4 to 5 ~$35 mag lights a year. If this light can take my abuse for a month, I'll never buy another mag. The only benefit my mags have over this is the adjustable beam, but this one looks to be producing maybe 25% more candlepower than my 4.5v mag and has a mid-focus fixed beam so it's good for close work and can light up a fair sized area up to maybe 75 feet.

I like flashlights too... and batteries. Madvapes just added some 3600 mah 18650 batts (not much description and no brand name mentioned) for under 4 bucks each. Even though I have a ton of 18650s laying around, I couldn't resist getting a pair of 3600 mah 18650s for so little money. When my kids head back to college in the fall, they'll both have one of these lights with those batteries in their glove compartments.

I'm not sure what switch you'll want to use. I have a 10 amp rocker switch I took out of a john deer tractor when we replaced the whole control panel last year. I was planning to use that, but now it's going to wait until I make something else.

I gotta agree. I've had many flashlights over the years and these are by far the brightest and most reliable of any I've had plus the battery has multiple uses. I can light up the front of a house from 150 yards away.. I think we'll be carrying these for a while.

We've only been getting the single mode version of these which is on high brightness all the time but they make a 5 mode version also which is is low beam, high beam, slow strobe, fast strobe and the other mode is like a two flashes, then pause, then two flashes.. I never got the 5 function version thinking that if peeps were modding them then why pay the extra but if you guys are interested in that style too as a flashlight, I'll be glad to order some :)

btw: br01 isn't as bright and I'm doing an order tonight and will make sure to add A20's..

Thanks, Hoog! I appreciate it. I had this light with me all weekend and it's really nice. If you order the five function, I'm good for one or two of them. I'll be throwing one of these lights in my shopping cart every now and then. They're going to end up in glove boxes, tool boxes, by the barn doors out at dads farm... This is the brightest light I've owned that wasn't a great big heavy lantern or spotlight. And, it seems to be really well made. I like it as much as my mag lights as far as materials and workmanship. I like it better than my mags for its size and brightness. -- Strobing versions would be great for the glove boxes.
