A8 Frustration

I've been vaping for about 7 months now.

My set up: K100 mech mod and my recently purchased A8 rebuildable tank.

Initially I went ahead and used the coils that came with it. Waste not want not! They were fine but I knew they could be better. So I built my own after a while. Realize I need thicker wire (I'm using 32 g right now but have some 28on the way).

Anyway in my rebuilding frenzy I somehow lobbed off a piece of silica inside the tank. No big deal right? I'll just take it apart and give it a cleaning........

I could not for the life of me get this bad boy apart. I unscrewed the pin from the bottom and attempted to untwist the tank section to no avail. We're talking hand cramping attempts to get this SOB apart. After numerous attempts and useless spinning of the tank I gave up and fished the silica out with some wire. ....

Problem now? The tank leaks bad.

I'm wondering if I should switch over to am AGA instead.

Any suggestions for a better quality tank?

I had same problem at first. I just kept working at it carefully. I've been using mine for about 3 months. I'm using 3mill silica without rubber oring. I double up the silica "about a quarter inch"with the 32g kanthal rapped around I've tried a did and a couple others and this setup is only one that works good for me. I was a dropper before never again. If you try this way I'm pretty sure you'll get good results the extra wick acts as a place to hold more liquid if you have
any questions pm me and I'll get back to you. I'll try to put up some pics tomorrow. I only got a weird taste when using it with original coils. It's my main Atty don't use anything else. I'm going to get a few more from empire. It's definatly an awesome rba after you figure out your set up!
