So I set out to make a new coil for my RM2, usually an easy task, even tho I'm fairly new to this. First try I get it wound on my jig, and it looks good, so I then take it off the jig, heat it up and make sure it's compressed. All good so far. Next after cutting the long leg down, to put the two legs thru the posts, get the coil positioned where I want it, and the coil still looks good, so I cut off the legs next to the posts, and get my cotton wick ready to thread thru, then I realize my coil is on the wrong side of the posts, and the feed hole is over there. I've done this before, I don't know why I don't pay attention. After taking the coil off, I see I now need to make a new coil.
Ok, I get out the wire, cut a new piece, and it springs out of my hand to land in the carpet where it's just waiting to stab me in my bare foot at some point. Danged if I can find it.
Third try. I get everything good, and put the RM2 on my digital ohm checker to make sure there isn't a short. and I drop it, and scrunching the coil out of shape. So another coil to make.
This one is good, YEA! 1.2ohms, a little hotter than I like it, but adjusting the coil down, I get it to where it's a good vape. Yep, it's been one of those days.
