Ok, I have both the RM2 and the IgoS, both with the exact same coil configuration and I can not get a good hit on the Igo, it just doesn't have any flavor and almsot a dry harsh hit. I have tried the air hole in every position possible......what am I doing wrong with it??

I am pretty darn proficient in making coils, and use the DZ jig and get great consistency with them on the RM2...maybe if you guys could be so kind and show me your setups, hight off of the deck, posistioning from the post etc...I would be extremely greatful..

Katie, a pic of your IGO would help. I have mine set up with a .9Ω microcoil wrapped on a 1/16 drill bit and mounted so it is as close to the edge of the deck as possible without shorting. It is important to align the air hole right in front of the coil and being off just a little will change the vape substantially.

All that said, your problem sounds like it could be wick related. Harsh hits happen when there isn't enough juice at the coil for the amount of heat produced. If you're using cotton wick, take it out and try another one using less cotton. It should thread though the coil with only slight resistance and trim it short (close to the coil) on each end.

Hope you get the IGO working better. If you want to see my IGO setup, give me a call next time you're up here.

I am getting a much better vape now, I think I have been putting the coil to high? I am experimenting with the height and cotton in the IGO, but to be honest the height should be the only thing to change at this point as I use cotton in the RM2's daily and pretty good at it...I am going to keep playing with the level of the coil and see if I can get it better yet.

Johni, if I can't get this dialed in, I will give you a holler when I come up :) Thanks for the offer, I would even buy the coffee!

I put the coil down even further, almost touching the deck (THANKS Johni!!) and bingo!! I was just running it to high! It is pretty darned good like this!! I was hoping to make this work as I really like stainless attys but loved the function of the RM2! Now if we could combine Stainless and the RM2 I would have THE perfect atty!
