All day today I keep getting a super thing, weak vape out of my Atlantis(x2 tanks) I changed both coils and there both having the same problem. I'm using a Hana clone battery and it's fully charged. I have no idea why it's doing this. I'm using itc juice today and am not sure if that could be the problem. It's really frustrating. Also, when you go to vape there's usually a pop sound as the coil is heating. Today I've noted there's no such sound. I'm so frustrated ! Also, I've been reading that the coils need to be run at higher watts. I've been running at around 13. Is that terrible ? I like the large amount of vapor and flavor but I don't want to rebuild and I can't afford to burn juice at 20 watts. I'm not sure what set up would work best for me. Any set up advice would be appreciated. My local store is crap.

13 watts, as far as I know is too low for an Atlantis. It's a 0.5ohm coil and really needs more power to perform as it should be. I don't even know if 20watt would be enough to run it well.

I have never attempted to run my Atlantis as 13 watts.

Maybe turn it up to 30 watts just to see if it works properly... then back down to 13 watts or whatever.

My Atlantis at 30-35 watts sounds like a pot of boiling water next to my ear. I use the CF sub battery... when it starts to get quiet after 8 hours I swap batteries.

Yah,

If your going to run at 13'ish watts then you'll need around a 1.8'ish oHm coil to even start to do anything with that using 36 gauge minimum wire ( I would run 32 gauge personally in an RDA to get that at say 6 wraps 2.0mm). The reason your vapor is thin is your not pushing enough to the coil to atomize the juice properly.
As for the burnt taste, that's kind of odd at the wattage your running, you would have to explain that one a bit more in detail. I'd say at that wattage your tank should be flooding and not burning in truth as the wicking should be feeding faster then the coil can keep up.

I'm not too sure if the Atlantis suffers this but I remember once with carto's that you had to let them sit for 15 min after juicing them up or else it would taste burnt. Again my Atlantis tank doesn't do that but who knows as I have the older version so can't really be of much hands on use for that.

To add to the others, 13w barely is enough to get the coil warm let alone hot enough to get the full vapor out of a .5 ohm coil. I have not tried the Atlantis yet, but I have a dripper running 1 ohm dual coils, final reading is .5 ohms. I run it at 42.5 - 50 watts depending on what juice I have on hand. Talking to guys at my local B&M and they have tried it and suggest 30-40 watts for best performance. The coil is stamped with a 20-30 watt rating.

The Atlantis coils (their other BVC cousins) will build up gunk in the wick material faster when run at lower wattages because they will cook the juice in the wick rather than vaporizing it quickly and blasting it out into the air stream. You may find that you get abysmal coil life running the Atlantis coils at low power levels.

It could also be your juice. Dark and sweet juices will gunk coils faster than lighter colored less sweet juices. I had a chocolate juice that took less than 3ml through a coil before the coil was unusable.

I'm not certain but I think your clone mod has no step down, (but I may be wrong) so when you popped in a fresh battery you were setting it to 13w but it would have been running at about 30w, as the battery has run down the wattage has dropped until it's close to the 13w, try it again on a freshly charged battery or set your mod to 25w and see how it performs,

On the Hotcig Hana mini clone I had it would technically step down but if you set it too far below the input voltage (the battery voltage based on charge level) it would output less power then it was set to which may be happening with yours. Aside from that 13W is low for the Atlantis, I agree with bumping up to 25W-30W for a few pulls to confirm its not the atty.

DNA30's and Hana Clones don't down regulate below battery voltage, so you may as well turn it up a bit. My guess is that when you fire them, the resistance reading flashes?

What is the hana clone reading the resistance of the Atlantis tanks at? You may have a connection issue between the tank and mod.

Today it started working fine. It runs and makes a large plume of vapor when I put the mod on 13. If it bumps it up automatically I don't know. I was sold the Atlantis at the bm and they said it was the newest and best thing that I had to have, and never told me I had to run it at certain watts. I really like the larger vapor production, but I feel so misinformed. Ohms law is way over my head. When I ask questions at the store they just treat me like a girl and give me crap answers. Thanks for the help
