I'm 2 weeks into vaping, analog free 15 days now (can't believe I made it through St. Patty's without smoking :))

Anyways, I'm starting to look at getting a better battery and passing my 808D-1 kit to my brother so he will start vaping and give up the smoking habit as well. I have invested a bit into 808D by buying around 36 total cartomizers (5 CE2's 2.6 which are very very nice) and I really want to stick the carto route. I also have a 5V PT thats threaded for 901/808 and would like it to be interchangeable with my purchase. Would the Riva 910 be the way to go? The price at Liberty Flights is hard to pass up for their Lite bundle.

Would 808D cartos work in a 910 riva? Are there any downsides to using cartos in a Riva? I like the hit I get from my standard 808D kit, is there any difference (positive or negative) in the power of the Riva vs. 808D? My understanding is that its the same battery just with 750 maH instead of 280(?) maH on the kit. One note, I would like to stick with the carto instead of cart+atty method, should I be looking elsewhere to stay with this setup?

Sorry for all the questions just want to be 100% sure before I make the purchase. And thanks for any help!

And to add even more to the mix there's a K808D-1 threaded "Ego size bat" from LeCig called the PigCig. So it's down to Riva 510 SE for best volts, Riva 910 + XL cartos LR for threads or a PigCig lol.

And just to add a question quicklike. My regular bats last around 6 hours or so. Is there a huge difference in the time between charges when comparing a Riva and a 808D1 reg? If the volts are the same and the charge LoT is about the same I might talk myself out of grabbing one and just hold off until the mod bug hits me :)

I went ahead and bought a couple of Riva SE 750 batteries. I couldn't pass on such good prices. 12.00 for a 750 mah battery and I couldn't find any Riva SE 1100's. I have a couple of Mods, a Buzz and an Indulgence but I like the Ego Mega Attys and they don't work on them. A wire broke on my Buzz so it doesn't work, that was 120.00 down the drain. I'm sure they would repair it if I sent it back but I'm to lazy and I didn't use it much. I bought the Indulgence because you could use any type of atty or carto on them and then they came out with the Mega Attys and Cartos that only work on Ego or Rivas so there was another 100.00 mod that justs sits on my desk most of the time. There are some nice Mods I would like to try but they are around 200.00 and I don't want to spend that much unless I know it will last a couple of years. I don't seem to mind spending hundreds, 50.00 at a time looking for the perfect device though. lol

The Riva should last about twice or three times as long as the 808D1.

I have a Pig Cig & I can tell you it is a 3.4 not 3.7 battery.
After I got it I wondered so I tested it with my DVM right after a fresh charge & it showed 3.4 volts.
Called LeCig & they left a e-mail to the engineers who told them the voltage is 3.4 volt after charge.
I did not check it out under load so who knows what the voltage is?
I can tell you it works pretty good with CE2, Boge & Truman cartomizers.
It also work well with an adapters with 510 & 4081 atomizers.
Don't have a Riva battery so I can't say anything about them.
Hope this sheds a little light on the Pig Cig.

The argument for 3.7V has been around for a long time. If you are not going through some sort of regulator then that voltage will continue to diminish along with performance through the length of the charge. OTOH a battery going through a regulator will provide a constant voltage throughout the vape, until it falls off the cliff.

Riva 901 batteries work fine with KR808D-1 cartomizers and you'll enjoy quite a few added hours of vaping with the 750 mah battery.

I see that the 901 threads are the same as KR808 threads, good there. Does the Riva 901 already have the slots to allow airflow needed for a KR808 carto? No need for any adapter at all? I too am hoping to move away from a 280mAh KR808 to a Riva, but I have all of this old hardware! :)

Some fit, some don't.... see:

Recommend the eGo/Riva 510 connection for more choices. as I stated in the other post to you :)

Another choice that will fit your 808 cartos is the Elegant Easy from CigEasy..... just in case you need another choice.... :)

I bought the Elegant a few weeks ago and really like the battery life.... it lasts about twice as long as my regular 808 batteries.

When I was looking at getting the Riva 910 the website (LiteCig??) stated it was not always compatible with the 808's because of air flow and I would need an adaptor to make sure they would all work....

<sheepish> I'm getting a little too amped up aren't I? Can you tell tomorrow is payday?! :) I appreciate your patience with me!

Lol. Well, it was also aimed at the OP's question too. I know that question has come up and there have been two different answers and I finally found someone who had one and tried a variety of cartos.
