Hello Vets,

I'd like your opinions on the Absolute Best 18650 Battery Charger. It's OK if it charges other battery sizes, too, but I really need it for 18650's. I just bought 4 Panasonic IMR 2250's and I don't want them ruined by the Charger. I also have 4 14500's, but I'll deal with that separately if the Best charger doesn't do them.

I've read lots of Charger reviews, and I want something that follows the 18650 Battery Specs to every detail. I want it to totally stop charging at about 4.16V to 4.18V, without a Trickle Charge.

I've seen that the pila IBC is considered the Best by some people, but others say it's very touchy. Bump the table it's on, and it can stop charging.

It can be multi-slot, as long as each slot charges independently.

Some of the reviews I've seen show O-Scope Charge patterns, and some of them look pretty trashy.

I want True CC-CV (or at least True CC, as the Voltage usually rises with the charge), a Clean Charge Pattern (not cut-off the charging, sample, cut-on, charge, repeat), True Charge Termination below 4.2V, and Zero Trickle Charge. It should follow the 18650 Battery Spec for Charging.

I know very well that all of this is hard to find on one Charger, but that's is what I'm looking for.

Whatcha got?

Thanks in advance.

Hey VG. I can't tell you what the absolute best charger is because everybody has their own opinion but I got this one http://www.amazon.com/Nitecore-IntelliCharger-i4-Charger-Generation/dp/B005UAI372 and I think it will suit your needs. It doesn't require spacers and you can put your batts in any slot you want. Some charges say if you are charging 2 batts in a 4 bay use slot 1 and 3. PITA. You can use any slot with this one and I've been very happy with mine. It charges both nipple and flat top 18650's.

I've been using a pila charger for about a year now. Works fantastic for my needs. I've noticed the touchy thing if the battery has only been lightly used, or is toward the end of the charge cycle. There is a reset button near the lights, press that and it'll finish what it was doing.

It also has a screw-in adapter for 14500 sized batteries, which happens to be the other size that I use.
