I know you said something about price being no object, but honestly I cannot see the value in spending $100 on a chunk of stainless steel for vaping. I have several Igo atomizers and for $100 I can have one set up for every one of my favorite juices. Just one person's opinion, but much like anything else (flashlights, knives, audio, guns, etc) the law of diminishing returns comes into play. Is a $100 atomizer really ten times better than a ten dollar atomizer? I would argue no. Maybe the machining is better, or it has a unique look. Of course there is pride of ownership. But for vaping, well, you'll never convince me that any atomizer is worth more than 25 bucks, no matter how shiny it is, or the logo etched into the side.
Now, having said that, I do own a bottom feed Cyclone for my Reo grand, but there are very limited options due to size constraints, and the difficulty of even finding a decent, 14mm bottom feeder.
For straight top-feed dripping on a tube mod - give me an Igo all day.

I used to think this way and I had 5 igo-w's going at once. Now I have none. Why? Because now I buy authentic high end atomizers. Why ? Well..
I tried the patriot and nimbus clones because they were similar to igo-w's in design. They weren't much different. Then I tried air flow control atomizers like the helios and trident clones.
After realizing there was a difference in vape quality, flavor, and production simply because of the afc options, I was pretty sold on afc. I also discovered that different platforms allowed different builds. For example, the helios has tall posts with 4 holes for easy duals and quads. The trident is very shallow. Different builds with different air flow openings, different juice, and different moods made for infinite options.
Being satisfied with my clones for a while, I then wanted to try an authentic atomizer that really wasn't cloned. I looked at the stillare, quasar, zenith and brass monkee. There may be similar designs which are clones but by now, I knew there were serious differences in chamber size, post position and height, and airflow control options.
I ended up with the stillare. Yes it's an expensive piece of stainless steel but it's not like any other atomizer due to the afc, fit and finish, and chamber size/post placement. I used this for a while before noticing the bigger chamber was hindering flavor.
Then I ended up with a zenith v2. Smaller chamber and delrin insulator made for a warmer , more flavorful vape.
Sorry for the novel. Basically, you have to be a vape enthusiast. If you just want to get your nicotine and that's that, then high end stuff isn't for you. If you are an enthusiast but still don't get it , you may never. To me though, and everything is personal opinion, it's not always about exclusivity and rarity. It's about getting a vape experience that cannot be had with any build in a low end, mass produced atomizer. To prove this even further, I use the same .32 6 wrap of 26 gauge dual coils in every one of my atomizers in rotation (trident v1 clone, stillare v2, and zenith v2) and there is a clear difference in flavor and vapor between all three.
The continuity is just sick ! I love mine, and I own a lot of RDA's. Authentic's and clones.Where would you rate the Enigma? I dig the look of it.
Emphasis added.
I understand, which is why I stated in my original post that it was one person's opinion.
My opinion will always be that, for me, there will never be a compelling reason to buy a $150 atomizer, ever. I've read THOUSANDS of threads at high end audio forums where people with "golden ears" could actually "hear" a difference between 10 dollar Radio Shack interconnect cables and boutique cables costing in the hundreds or thousands. I call BS. I've read threads where people claim that changing a amplifier power cord made a huge difference in sound. Again, I am skeptical. Regardless, I will never be convinced that spending 1400 bucks on a power cord will make any difference. Similarly, I will never be convinced that a $150 atomizer is worth the money. Maybe you have "golden taste buds".
Call me a terminal novice, I guess.
Edited for spelling.
I just got my IGO-W5 yesterday and like it. First large dripper I've used. Still trying to master dual coils. I also ordered 2 tugboat rda's from VaporDNA. From the YouTube video I think these will be awesome!
Hey guys! I have recently gotten into dripping. Amazing vapor production and flavor from the set up that I have been using. I have been using dual super nano coils (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qpwdBKcNB9A) with 28ga kanthal sitting on top a small bed of cotton. I have come to the conclusion that this is the way that I like to vape. I like dual coils because a single coil just gets way to hot to produce the amount of vapor that I like. So with dual, I don't have to get them quite as hot to produce what's needed. I purchased a cheepy "Nimbus V5" clone to do this set up with. There are quotes around this because this particular atty isn't like other nimbus clones that I have seen recently. Well, this atty is very poor quality with very little room to work and tiny post holes to fit the larger wire. Also the post holes actually sit below the edge of the atty base so it's very hard to thread the coils into without bending the coils. I can never really truly seem to get the resistance of both coils perfectly equal, so one of them either burns cooler or not at all.
Why I am posting this I am in the market for the absolute best RDA that I can get for this setup. I need an atty that is preferably 22mm device to fit flush with my nemesis. Aslo would like great quality/good conductivity and in general the best I can get! What are your suggestions and why?
All help is much appreciated. Thank you!
That's a nice set of atties, in particular the Dominator X. Might have to try hunting one of those down!I'm sure by now you've already figured out exactly what you want and have bought it brother lol, but in case your still soul-searching, I think I can help because we sound exactly alike in our vape. Let me guess; your a strict dual coiler, and want huge vapor fast, without sacrificing too much flavor, you'd like a good looking stainless steel RDA that is very capable and will let you do everything from tiny airflow to massive 1/8th" for sub-ohm/really hot cloud coils, and generally just want something that will keep you staying on top of the game. You don't mind a warm vape, but are usually happier with the vapor when it's cooler with big airflow, and maybe want a dripper that's more than your average tri-post with a metal can over it?
I may be horribly wrong, but in case your like me I'm positive you'll like:

The Tobh Atty~ ($80 authentic, also Tobeco has an excellent clone which is basically identical) Basically my favorite right now, everything about the design of this dripper is meant to produce the most hellacious vape possible. From the top down: It's got finely crafted heat-sinks (that actually dissipate heat and can feel them working), the ceiling of the top cap is a dome to aid in better vapor flow, while at the same time reducing the chamber to an almost small size (making it a great flavor/density machine). It's got black-oxidized screws which stay cleaner, are stronger so they don't strip as easy, aid in conduction, and are meant to take abuse. The center post is raised so that you can insert your coils without bending them inward (the higher leg on one side will go in the raised center post, and the lower leg will go in the lower negative), makes installing coils super tidy and neat. The negative posts are welded, and never move when your tugging hard on your coils and fixing them, also aiding in conductivity. The post holes are huge, they can fit dual 20ga, and the center post (which usually holds 2 wires) is larger than the negatives (which usually hold 1), so they are proportional, and cuts down on unnecessary bending when tightening down. The drip well is really really deep, I often "flood" it on purpose, because the coils and airflow stay perfectly above the "puddle" of juice it creates, almost like an origen style drip well. The floor has a unique machine line design that looks cool, and probably helps with juice flow (maybe, still looks cool lol), and the insulators in the 510 post are "PEEK" medical grade insulators rated up to 480deg. F, so even if you do dry-burn for 1 minute straight while inhaling, you won't get any toxic fumes (all components are rated 480 and up, for cloud chasing/sub-ohming). The AFC sleeve has 6 total 1/16th" holes, 3 on each side, and combined they have massive possible airflow of 3, 1/8th" airflow! It's huge, no need to drill whatsoever, and you can also close them off with the "teeth" (which I removed to do center post builds, because I always have it wide open anyway, I also drilled 2 extra 1/16" holes for a total combined of 1/2" airflow, huge vapor). The top cap easy to remove to look at your build every-time you drip, it's just as easy as removed your drip tip, and you can see what's going on, let alone not having to aim your juice through the drip tip hole. The entire atty is beautifully made, and out of conductive 303 stainless steel, with solid copper contacts. It's threads are so nice you can flick them on your mod and it spins to the bottom. Whoo I typed alot! It's that good though lol.

The Brass Monkee~ ($80 by Standard Functions, don't get the clones, they suck.) I love this atty because it's well made, hassle free, and soooooo easy to build on. It's got the beautiful dual ("T-post") positive post, so your duals don't have to share one screw, they get their own and make perfectly even connection every time. It's also got the perfect medium sized chamber, and big airflow, making for a big, dense and often warm vape. The flavor on this is noticeable like the Tobh. It's got the same big size airflow as the Tobh stock (I drilled mine so the lined up holes, were turned into one cyclops slot, and it really made it a vapor machine, even though it was already), and silver contacts for great conductivity to that awesome T-post (which can hold dual 22ga btw, and can quad build 24ga easy). It's really quality made, thick as hell so it holds heat great, it's AFC ring is perfect, it's just the right amount of resistance when adjusting, and then when you screw-down the cap, it's locked in place no matter what. It's a builders dream, and a dense, flavorful fog machine.

The Dominator X LE~ (125$ from Qoppa atomizers, is tied with the Tobh for first, honestly probably my ultimate favorite) Make sure you get the limited edition because the original dominator has a "push and shoot" style that doesn't grip thicker than 28ga wire very well, instead it has alan key posts. It's the most intricate, beautifully designed & machined RDA on the planet in my opinion. It's round, angular at the same time, has heat sinks that work, massive 4mm airflow (x2 for dual 8mm total) stock, probably the only RDA I've never drilled because it's overkill. It makes clouds the easiest of any RDA I've ever had, the Tobh can keep up but I have to try harder if that makes sense. It's got a fairly large chamber, but you can turn the airflow down to 2 or 3mm if you want to make up for that in flavor, and the deck has an awesome conical design not used on any other RDA I've seen, it's like an upsided down "U", makes a perfect puddle of juice for your coils when you drip. It's the priciest dripper I've ever bought, but more than worth the money, I have the copper version, and it literally does everything. I haven't need to drill the cap, posts, or alter anything either. It just works exceptionally well, It's got a solid silver center post which goes directly through the positive coil legs, the negative posts have solid copper shafts holding them in place (and you can unscrew them to clean/replace if need be). I honestly think it's the most underrated topper in history, everyone should try it in my opinion, I'd go with this one if your willing to bear the wallet hurt.
I typed way to much brother, hope this helps, I'm almost 100% positive any dual coiling vaper will love any of these 3 RDA's, because they're all so adjustable, and to the extremes as well. If your going for ease and convenience, go with the brass monkee. If your looking for ultimate performance/build quality, go with the Dominator X, if your looking for an awesome balance of the two, the Tobh is your guy, you can't go wrong! Cheers, vape'em if you got'em!

The Stillare isn't bad either, I honestly only own the Infinite clone, but I can't see it being much better by Cartel, I thoroughly trust and appreciate Infinite's quality, they're the only clone company that can compete with the genuines, but I wouldn't mind having a genuine V1 (for the silver instead of gold posts). Super huge airflow, almost as good conductivity as the Dominator which is saying something, amazing looks and build quality, really thick walls/topcap, just a great, simple RDA that'll do exactly what you want it to do. I'd say my only grip with it (as well as others), is if you don't buy their Cartel drip tip, then the "spit back" protector lip ironically builds up juice, and ends up in your mouth if your an aggresive lung-inhaler. Not a big deal whatsoever, because you can actually fix that with an extra o-ring below the DT, or even better do what I did, and take a 5/16th" drill bit to it, and bore it out. It made for clearer vapor anyway
.
Good luck, vape on!
