Alright, alright-

Things are looking good! Thanks for all the responses so far. We'll close the thread around midnight or so on April 15. The random number sequence will be generated on the 16th, the thread will be re-opened, and a screenshot of the sequence will be posted announcing the winners-

In other news:
A quick update - a new batch of holders & a couple cabinets are currently in the Clear Coat phase and should be ready for the website in a week or less!

Thanks,

Rick

Lookin' good gang-

An update:

The current run of holders are ready for photos - then up to the website! One basic cabinet drilled for tube mods with an RDA/Driptip shelf is ready to go as well.

The other cabinet (blank bottom) is in sanding now. It will have a couple small magnets embedded in the base to accept an interchangeable MOD insert.

Toots

I'm Ready for my Close Up, Mr. DeMille...

Almost ready to shoot!

From this point, shooting doesn't take long. Cropping & editing actually take longer. After that, prep of the drawings and the website coding - and away we go-

Tomorrow?
For any photo bugs out there - 2x 400ws strobes, 44" umbrellas, Canon 40D, 17-40L. My most common setup, very versatile.

Light 'em Up! - your LEDs that is

I have emerged from the shop Victorious! Once again, the wood has bent to my will! (OK, that sounded weird...):w00t:

Anyway, the website coding is complete, and we have nine new items up on the website - 5 strip holders; 3 charger holders & one cabinet.

The second cabinet musta' been scared, 'cause it soiled itself and needs a complete resanding - water/glue stain on one end.

Might be a bit before I get to it as I'm just starting a big custom juice bar holder for a vape shop!

Contest will end tomorrow night - good luck to everyone - and thanks

tis ok Rick, not weird,I bend my wood too.;)
Cool - always remember, you can't bend it too much without steaming it first!
I like your updates Rick and am looking forward to seeing pictures of the custom juice holder for the vape shop. So cool!

Keep playing with that wood ;)
Thanks - 80 tanks/30ml bottles on a three step arrangement, almost four feet long!

I ran a tag line contest a couple years ago, got some real funny ones. Some favorites I've heard are -

"Hard, Exotic, with a deep finish" - referring to many exotic woods being extremely hard, and my finishing process can look very deep sometimes.

"Put our Wood in your Hands" - many variations possible here

"We Help Keep it Up" - again, lots of cheeky responses, it was fun

and @Ding - you were there, found this one for you (& me):

Avsolut-Wood
Moab Labe

Finally, this would be a great bumper sticker:

"I love my PV gear so much, I got wood for it"

Couldn't resist - Vistaprint is easy

Sorry all -

Crashed out early last night, just remembered to close the thread! I'll update the spreadsheet and get over to random.org to generate the number sequence. Talk soon-

Here We Go!
First, the post numbers removed because they were a duplicate, or were my posts:
  • 14
  • 27
  • 43
  • 45
  • 64
  • 66-70
  • 72-75
The above are the "disqualified" posts of the thread. A sequence from 2-71 was used.

And Now, the Screen Capture of the Sequence:

We have only one number that is disqualified - post #66

So, our Third Place Winner, Post #71, from the top of the list - Styx_N_Stones
Winner of $20 Store Credit! Congratulations! A last minute entry too!

Second Place goes to the second number in the list - Post #33, by Rob Bacon
You get $30 in Store Credit! Good Job!

And Finally, Post #39, by bsidb, has Captured the First Place Prize - $50 in Store Credit!

Congrats the winners!

Thanks to everybody for playing along - good fun

Rick
