Accidental no juice!

Hi everyone!

Been vaping in and off for a year or so now!

However come across a problem tonight... vaping my new Geekvape Ageis with no problem for a week now however hit with zero juice not realising! Fried coil so I’ve changed, rinsed tank with water and let dry

Setup again but still getting burnt aftertaste!

Any help?

Yeah primed from the top and side holes left for 25-30 minutes

Maybe you could try washing the tank with soap and water, or vodka, making sure to clean the chimney section, then rinse with water and dry. Sometimes flavors can get stuck in the orings and gaskets and a deep clean or oring change is the only solution.

I started at 30W and went up in 5 watts every 5 mins or so...optimum for coil is 60-80

The recommended/ optimum power ranges suggested by the manufacturer are meaningless.

Always start a new head at a low power & gradually work your way up over at least the first half tank.

Vape to your personal taste not to a number.

Yeah I normal vale at 70 hence starting at 35 half power. I’m going to bed now so I’ve cleared it out again put in new coil and will leave till I wake up! Hopefully that works ‍

From your posts, looks like you going to solve it. There are a few reason why coils can get burnt. Might like to familiarize yourself, it may save you time, money and future frustration:

Sometimes the burnt taste is absorbed by the o-rings. Might have to use the spares.

Depending on how bad it was, you may need to completely tear down and wash the tank, and then replace the 0-rings as Letitia said. Unfortunately, depending on how burnt things got, you really have to clean everything thoroughly. Start over with a new coil.

35 watts is WAY too high for a priming puff. Wicks are primed via CAPILLARY action, meaning you could let the tank sit overnight and still not get that action. You need SUCTION by inhaling (without the fire button even) and then slowly continue to do that starting at about 5 watts. If you see no vape, well, that's fine as you are continuing to wick juice UP into the coil Slowly increase by 3--5 watt increments until you get a good vape which MAY be far below the recommended wattage. That is fine and may even extend coil life. The manufacturer's recommendation is just that a recommendation. You can certainly vape below it at or above the highest wattage may reduce coil life and result in an unsatisfactory vape, etc.
