So, I'm sitting here at the desktop with my glass of Coke and an empty glass used to keep my ego from rolling off the desk. Well, thanks to not taking my eyes off the article I was reading, I inadvertantly put the ego in the glass with Coke in it. It was just for a split second but the voltage dial was submerged. I instantly dried it off and it seems completely dry. I took the tank off of the ego and hit the button a few times. The light lit up as it should. Not knowing much about the internals, should I be concerned about a short or anything else? Just wondering how tight the seal of the voltage dial is. The last thing I want to do is become a precautionary tale on ECF. Thanks.

I'd take a blow dryer to it - not too hot.... Another fix seen around here is to stick the dial end in a cup of rice for a few days..... that seems to draw any liquid out.

Thanks. Think I might try the rice. I was just wondering what the worst thing that could happen would be...ranging from the battery not working to having the darn thing blow up in my face. Anyone have any ideas?

Probably just short out the dial. I'd be more concerned it were at the other end....

Yeah, that's what I figured. Like I said, it was only submerged for a split second and immediately dried off on my shirt. I'm guessing the only circuitry down that low is for voltage control. There's no way it could kill voltage control completely where it pumps out too much voltage, is there?

Just stumbled on this and had to laugh - I dropped my Vision Spinner into the tub about an hour ago. It even took me a minute to fish it out because I dropped in a very large book simultaneously, a chaotic moment.
I dried it with a towel blew it out whilst still in the tub and it was fine after a few sort of soggy hits. The book didn't fare as well.
