ACK! USB charger broke in less than 2 weeks!

Less than 2 weeks ago we got our first kits, and haven't smoked an analog since (yay!). But this morning, when I went to plug in my batt to charge, the usb charger broke into about 4 pieces! I'm so ticked off, and in a bit of a panic, because there is no way that one charger will keep 4 batts charged for both my husband and I to keep vaping until a replacement can come. I sent a support ticket to Smokeless Image, so I suppose I'll find out how quick their replacement parts can come, but in the meantime I'm in a PANIC.

I've been trying to hold off on buying more vape stuff, but now I don't care if our account comes close to bouncing.... I'm going to order some more kits! This is a worse feeling of panic than when I would get down to those last few smokes in a pack of analogs - at least then I knew I could run to the gas station and get more!

Wow, that's a bummer. Once you get a replacement you should get some backups. I like to have at least two of everything, and for chargers; I have a bunch just in case. I have had things die on me leaving me to scramble to get something to vape, and vowed to never let that happen again.

FWIW, MadVapes and other vendors sell chargers by themselves, without your having to buy a whole kit. They're cheap. Make sure the output (voltage and amps) of the replacement charger matches the output of the one that broke.

Not sure by looking at your photo, but perhaps just the case came apart and you could super glue it together
and it may still be working?

While I'm not adverse to fixing things with superglue (or duct tape), in this case one of the two wires has become disconnected. Since I'm not an electronics guru, and don't have the ability to solder itty bitty wires, I'll need a new usb charger.

It really stinks that you had to learn the hard way.....Thank heaven it didn't happen to both chargers!!

The USB charger that came with my first pv didn't seem to be acting right. Ordered a replacement before tragedy occurred.

I'm happily surprised to say that I put in a ticket to Smokeless Image about 9:30 am and by 10:15 am I had an email saying that a new usb charger is being sent out.

I'm also happy to report that I just found out that V4L is located about 1/2 hour away from me. I had NO idea that there was a brick and mortar shop anywhere near me. When I'd started looking around, the guy at our local cigar shop said the closest one was in downtown Chicago! (About twice as far as V4L).

Always best to keep a spare, Batt, atty, charger whatever in case, my fist PV broke like this it was just the case soldered some point electric taped it and its been kicking for well over a year now, Getting a simple USB passthrough would be a good idea as well, glad to here your close to a Shop, keep off those nasty analogs

Thanks, never thought about getting a 2nd charger right away figured I would get a few later for convience but now I know what I need to add to my first order

If you need new batteries, just order another full kit and get extra chargers that way, along with attys, ect, as you can never have too any supplies.
