acrylic or aluminum tips?

I bought a bunch of metal tips, and I think I like the acrylic better for tanks and carts. The metal ones get to hot for me. I have a bunch of acrylic ones on order. My grandfather got cancer on his lip from the heat of his pipe. I am just wondering if anyone else has advice.

I have one metal tip and a dozen acrylic, because of the heat issue.

I want my GF to have "hot lips" not me....

I've never known them to get hot. I usually vape around 8 1/2 watts. Might get hot for folks that ratchet up to 10 or 12...

Another vote for a good glass tip. Once you get one, youll never go back. There are a few vendors/manufactures heres that sell them.

I prefer the acrylic, haven't tried the stainless yet but really want one since all of my hardware is stainless, do they make stainless xl 306 driptips? Not even going to consider glass, I am the accident queen! Broke my foot in 4 palces walking out to the car to carry in the groceries, I fall going up the stairs, and I've even been trapped in a revolving door! If I were to have a glass drip tip I'm sure I'd end up without a bottom lip or something.

Good question, I don't know. The only thing I still use Delrin on is my Cisco 306's

I use an aluminum tip and I vape from the moment I wake up until my head hits the pillow at night. I mainly vape on a tank and it never gets too hot. Also, I highly doubt it was the heat that caused your grandfather's cancer.

Aluminum was too hot for me also.
I use a ceramic ming vase drip tip and love it.
Wish it came in more color choices.

In general, aluminum is a much better conductor of heat than stainless, hence its use in computer cpu heatsinks, so my bet is that stainless would be better, but eventally you get can get it hot. I use acrylic tips and I tend to get them uncomfortably warm. Ceramic is a great insulator of heat, with glass right behind it. I plan to try a ceramic and stainless one if I can find them.

So far I've picked up acrylic, aluminum, and ceramic. The acrylic seems to be the best as far as not getting hot. The ceramic feels great, but tends to get warmer. The aluminum I will probably use when the weather turns a bit cooler since they do hot if I'm chain vaping.
