I'm ready to purchase a mod. Don't want to spend much now because I know I'll probably be getting another in a month or so.

I want to stick to using a 510 atty. madvapes has a killer deal on the DSE905 V3. They have a 901 to 510 adapter. I'm wondering, are there any disadvantages when using an adapter? Loose? wobbly? ugly? bulky?
I'd love to hear thoughts from those who are or have used a similar setup.

Are there are any real downsides? If so I'll just wait for a mod made specifically for the 510. I have several in mind that are not available now but should be in several weeks.

TIA

My original kit that I started with was a 510 after reading this forum and seeing that this is the most recommended model to start out with. Out of curiosity and without a lot of money, I wanted to try the second most popular type of e-cig (kr808). I bought an adapter from altsmoke to go from the 510 battery to the 808 cartomizer. For only a couple of bucks for the adapters and a pack of cartomizers, this is one of my best purchases to date and very happy that I did. To me the cartomizers give a lot better throat hit and involve a lot less maintenance. My next purchase of hardware will be the kr808 and I am confident that I am making an informed decision. The adapters that I got are not loose, not ugly, and they work great. I don't know about madvapes but I would guess that they would be very close to the same and I would not be afraid to go the adapter route.

I didn't have this experience the adaptors.... I found they made for a harder draw and a tremendous reduction in vapor & flavor.... moreso than the Joye-510 alone and the KR808-d1 alone.
I mean, they 'work'... but I wasn't thrilled with the results. :(
