Hi everyone, new to the forum and also to ecigarettes. I'm hoping to phase out my pack a day habit slowly with the ecigarette so I picked up the innokin itaste vv V3. There are alot of adjustments that can be made on this unit so I was hoping someone here might be able to explain how to set the voltage based on the ohms reading. Currently I am using the iclear 16 clearomizers that came with the unit and the Ohms reading I am getting is 2.1 on the one cartridge and 2.4 on the other.

Thanks in advance!

I just turn voltage all the way down, install topper of choice, turn up in .1 increments until I hit the sweet spot.

You can also refer to the following chart.

Setting will be slightly different for dual coil as they take more voltage to drive, at least in my experience.

This chart may help you.

According to that, the 'sweet spot' for a 2.1 ohm head is going to be between 4.5 and 8.0 watts.

Try 7.0/7.5 and adjust up or down to taste :)

To expand upon that, there's two modes to the vv/vw - voltage, and watts. If you set watts, the device will adjust itself to the correct voltage to get 8 watts from whatever is installed on it. If you set voltage, you will get whatever the watts will be according to Ohm's Law (ie. it will be a different wattage at different voltages)

Once I figured this out, I tend to use watts, I like things around 7.5 - 8.0 watts. It seems to me to be a smoother, cooler vape than adjusting voltage manually.

I have 2 of the Itastes and usually set the volts by just adding 2 to whatever ohm coil I have. Works for me!!

ahhh thank you, I just tried that and thought you were wrong because after changing the watts I checked my voltage and it didn't move. Then I took a haul and checked again and the voltage went down from 5.0 to 3.4.

Also thanks to the other replies above, i have an understanding now. Now all I need to do is pick up some VG so I can dilute my Menthol Tobacco juice that tastes like extra strong vicks vapor rub to something a little more tasty lol.

For me, I have found my sweet spot to be 3.9V and 6 watts using 2.3 and 2.4 ohm heads. I found that I get the same vape with these settings in the V mode works for me. Using a multimeter, in the V mode with these settings I get 4.0 volts and presumably 6 watts (no way of checking). If I set it to P6.0 (watts) mode the voltage is higher 5.0V. This setting gives me the exact same vape as my Ego C upgrade 1000mAh batteries which I am accustomed to. Hope this will help any others seeking out their perfect vape.
