Hey everyone.
Great forum, been doing tons of research and reading these past few days on the 1st kit I'm going to buy.
Been interested in the e-cig since I saw it at the mall. Come to find out that's a horrible brand and way over priced lol.

I'm extremely familiar with forums because my car and motorcycle, and visit other forums, so I came across this site so I make the best purchase.
Pretty much narrowed it down to the joye 510.
The 2 kits I'm conflicted between are from cignot and e-smokeytreats. Both sites have great reviews, but the kit from cignot comes with a PCC which is a must for me. More than likely I'm going with that kit, and hopefully I'll be able to post a good review!

Also, to any one with experience on this, is the eGo just a battery that lasts much longer? and the eGo cartridge hold more than the regular?
If so that seems way worth it as well!

Welcome!

First off, I have purchased from both cignot, and e-smokey treats, both have been great for me, prompt, and reasonable prices.

Second, The PCC for a 510 is very nice to have, and itll hold a couple filled carts as well. I bought my 510 kit, and PCC from cignot, and am perfectly happy.

Third: The eGo seems to offer a little more vapor than a regular 510 battery, but the big plus is the battery lasts a loooong time for me. I would burn through a 510 batt in a couple hours, whereas an eGo batt lasts me a day and a half.

The 510, and the eGo use the same carts, and attys, (they're interchangeable) so theres no difference in capacity. I also purchased my eGo from cignot.

Hope this helps!

I'll go against the grain I guess.

It seems I'm the only one who uses a RN4081 (It's a super mini or whatever). This thing is great. I first bought the Njoy NPRO before finding all the parts cheaper elsewhere.

The atomizers take a lot of abuse before they die and if you actually shell out the money for the NPRO starter kit (usually on sale) they replace your atomizers for 12 months.

You HAVE to have a USB passthrough though because the batteries stink. I direct drip also so don't bother with refilling anything. Just carry some juices with me.

I get atomizers/batteries from Totallywicked because they seem to have the cheapest shipping for where I live in the US but get passthroughs from AZsmokefree because they are well built. 5 atomizers from TW are about $30, passthrough from AZ is $20 after shipping, batteries and a charger come in any rn4081 starter kit and you can get very cheap juice from strictly e-juice. I know that sounds like a pain but you end up with months worth of supplies right off the bat.

If you do get a 510 or anything really, get 2-5 extra atomizers ASAP.

I started out on my good old 401 mini and quit because of it. Yea, now I have mods, big battery stuff...actually about every model, but my little old 401 mini is still used all the time. It helped me quit analogs because it was so much like a them. The auto batts helped to.
Kinda hard to dangle a ego or other mod from your lips while driving.
PS: ALL my original 401 stuff is still working. Haven't had to replace any parts yet.
Can't say the same for my 501, 901, mods, etc

You will not regret buying the eGo, it will more than likely be cheaper in the long run. The standard 510 is great and thats what a lot of us started on but the eGo lets you vape instead of planning your day around swapping and charging batteries.

Yes it is just a bigger battery but it also gives more consistant performance. Depending on where you buy it will also come with a 6 month warranty which is a huge plus.

As far as carts go they use the same carts as the 510. I only use carts when im driving or if I am somewhere I can't drip. Most people find dripping gives better flavor and more vapor production.

If you have the money I would recommend this as a great starter setup that you won't "outgrow" for a long while -

-Ego starter set
-extra atty
-lr attys
-drip tip
-juice

If you buy this stuff you should be set unless you start wanting a hv mod (which most people do lol). I really wish I would have taken some advice like I'm giving you before i spent all this money on stuff I don't use anymore.

Happy Vaping

Welcome to the forum!

The Ego's battery is 650 Mah and lasts a nice long time. You can also get 510 mega attys and carts and that will make your vaping experience more enjoyable. The mega carts hold more then the standard 510 carts.

If you consider buying, i would get it from Janty, they have a better warranty and it comes with a better charger then the tornado does.

Completely agree! First..Cignot is the way to go. 2nd, I started out with the 510 and loved it and still do, but the minute I got the eGo, I was in heaven. The battery not only lasts all day, but the vaping experience is much more powerful IMO. When I compare them now, I always go back tot he eGo...it just works much better for me.

Congratulations and I hope you experience with this is as awesome as mine. Haven't touched a cigarrette since I got my eGo.

I'll agree with the reviews of the 510 from Cignot they have great prices and awesome customer service! Also I think the Ego is a much better battery, & the best part is all of the parts for the 510 work with the Ego. So if you start with a 510, then upgrade to the Ego you can use all of your 510 stuff if you want to. I like the mega carts & atty's (for the 510), to use with the Ego battery. Good Luck with your decision and let us know how you make out.

Oh wow, thanks everyone for the fast response.
Soo glad I did my research first for once instead of making an impulse buy!

Ok, it seems I'm set on getting the eGo now. I've heard pretty much 95% positive reviews for the thing. I'll be ordering it as soon as I get my check.
And more than likely I'll be using janty. Cignot seems great too, but I've heard rave reviews about janty's liquid.

I'm getting a few bottles of liquid, and a few cartridges as well. Seems like a great starter kit. And from there I'll get a hang of all the tips and tricks and what not.

What are some good liquids? Cherry and pineapple are on my list to get, along with a couple others. Are the liquids like hookah flavors, and kind of taste like the name they say they are?

Good choice on the eGo! You will love it. One comment about those that believe the eGo is a stronger vape: it is! The batt is technically a 3.7V batt, like the regular 510 batt, but it has much more capacity, and thus current. this puts the voltage on the atty coil closer to 3.7V, whereas it is closer to 3.1V with reg batts. Without going into the math, you are vaping with the eGo at higher wattage than the regular or even the mega batt. Ya, it is noticeably stronger, and the numbers bear this out. The capacity of the eGo batt also allows you to try low-resistance attys, which will drain the batt faster, but be an even stronger vape (more watts!:D).

Another bonus is the normal 510 atty with a bit higher wattage does not clog as easily, and thus will last longer! Enjoy the wattage!

Faster. Not better. Slow charging batteries is better than quick charging them as best I understand it and the Totally Wicked Tornado comes with the slower charger + 2 attys (vs one). Mine takes about 3 hours to charge, which is way faster than the other one discharges, so no need to charge faster.

Just my .02 and the reasons I went with a Tornado rather than ego...3 days after I got my Joye 510 from Cignot. /facepalm

Glad you like your tornado!
Idk tho, I've done enough research on the Ego tho that I'm still going with that.
Who knows, maybe I'll switch? But from what I've read it seems that will be perfect for me.

And thx Kurt for the technical info, that's what made me chose the eGo over the regular 510.

Also, just because I'm curious. Does anyone really smoke this thing in restaurants and movie theaters, like in the demo video at the mall for the smoking everywhere kit?
